carol That is awesome news!! I am back to daily weigh ins myself. I always gravitate back to them, so I should just stick with what works! I was very surprised that the Steelers lost, I thought they would be in the Superbowl this year. I was even more shocked that the Vikes didn't blow it like normal, usually the miracle last second score goes the other way, but am super happy!!

flower Thank you!! You had a very nice loss yourself!!

activeadventurer We missed the first half because of my daughter's hockey game but came home just in time for it to get interesting. It was 17-0 when we turned it on and then very quickly after became a game!! I almost left the room because I felt like I was a jinx! OMG, 3 blocks from the stadium?? That would be a nightmare, I am sorry!! I am about an hour NE of the cities.

I didn't get on the scale this morning because I feel as though I overate yesterday and I don't want to see an uptick at this point. Also, I have a dr appointment this afternoon and I know I am going to weigh more because I will be fully clothed and it will be afternoon instead of morning, when you weigh less. It's all psychological. Actually, I am eating a lot more vegetables because of their low calorie/fat counts. I know that feeling stuffed from a lot of vegetables is not the same as feeling stuffed from too much pizza. LOL But my rings feel tight, and I just feel bloated. That's my excuse! Anyway, my official weigh in day is Sunday. I can make a lot of progress or do a lot of damage by then. Which one will it be?

carol I vote for lots of progress by Sunday!! I hate getting weighed at the Dr. I am always at least 7lbs. heavier there, so usually I turn away and don't look, hahah! Great job on eating lots of veggies, that is something that I definitely need to improve on. I hope that you are able to get rid of the bloat, I hate that feeling!!

I had an appointment on Monday, too. I weighed 207, but weighed 202 at home, so that was 5 lbs up. It's hard to see that. The nurse told me that some people get on the scale backwards and don't want to be told their weight at all. I at least realize that it's wrong. LOL

One time at the gyne, their scale weighed me less than I weighed at home. When I told them that, they said they didn't want to hear it because they all went by that scale. It definitely needed calibrated.

This is really weird, but good. I feel fat and bloated again today, but I forced myself to get on the scale. 201. Down another pound! Maybe the bloat is just from all the vegetables I ate yesterday. You know what fiber does to you sometimes. My total calories were in the 1600 range, higher than I'd like, but a loss is a loss. I think the extra calories were from cheese, but it obviously didn't hurt me. So I'm going to trust my instincts and keep eating the veggies. Low calorie, filling, tasty. Keep the starchy carbs at a minumum. I didn't eat any sweets at all yesterday, not even a little taste. Didn't even think about it until now, so it wasn't even a struggle. NSV

I was 204.5 at the doctors. Lower than the other dr scale on Monday. Who's to say they get their scales calibrated like they should? I use a doctor's balance beam scale and DH checks it from time to time with weight plates, so I feel it's good.

My BP was high but that might have been white coat syndrome. I have to go back in May to recheck it and also my blood sugar. If I'm smart, I will use the time in-between to do the best I can with eating and exercise. If I don't, then shame on me, and I will have to face the consequences. I don't want more pills.

carol Congrats on your loss!! The NSVs feel really good, don't they?! Last night I ate steamed broccoli with red pasta sauce and some parmesan cheese on top, its very low calorie and I love it!! You inspired me to up my vegetable intake, so thank you for that!!

I hope that it was white coat syndrome and your check up in May goes well. All the good decisions that you are making will add up, all we can do is our best!

Kfunk, I'm so proud to have influenced you to eat more veggies! And you have influenced me to weigh daily. For whatever reason, I am sticking to plan so much better than I have in the past. I always said I can't lose weight no matter what I do, but tracking my food I see that I was eating way more than I thought I was. You always hear that, but I never thought it applied to me. I have been sticking around the 1400 calorie range and apparently that's a good range for me to lose. When I get up in the morning I'm so excited to run to the scale to see if I've had a drop! I know this lb a day is not going to continue, but I'm enjoying it for now, and it's helping me psychologically to stick to plan. Who knew? LOL

Weigh-in day for me. In spite of 2 off plan days, I feel the week was a success. Down 3.5 lbs. Looks like Onderland is on the horizon, for about the 5th time. I'm determined to keep going downward. No bounce back this time.

carol I am so glad that the daily weigh ins are helping!! Its exciting to find a calorie range that works well with our bodies! You had an AMAZING week

My weigh in is tomorrow and I expect that I will see a bump up. I didn't have a good day yesterday, it was a train wreck actually. Its okay though, 1 day doesn't matter in the big picture, back to it today!!

Hi Folks,

Glad to see people hanging in there! Congratulations Wannabe! Kfunk, I think your attitude is super. It is never any one day.

I put in an average 43 minutes of daily exercise this week. I usually get my metrics (a few measurements and body fat %) done on the 1st. I will be waiting until after the Super Bowl this month. I doubt I will even be able to get to the gym with all the crowds.

Have a great week ladies!

1 full day back on track and many more to come this week! As suspected, I had a jump up. It was more significant than I expected, but I know most of it is water weight.

dee Congrats on your 43 min. average this week!! Hopefully the next 2 weeks will fly and then your life will go back to normal. I can't imagine how inconvenient it is living this close to the stadium.

carol I hope that you are doing well!

I have been editing my original post. Today I weighed in at 307, so 17lbs from my goal. Going to try and get as close as possible to 290 for Valentine's day. I am down 9lbs though!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and is closer to their goal!

Yesterday was not a great day so I've had 3 bad days in a row. Yesterday was bad because it was my weigh-in day. I tend to enjoy my food after weighing in, then get back to business the next day. But that's complicated because I had 2 not so great days before weigh in. I am typing this out because this is one of my self sabotages. Having trouble getting back on the wagon after a slip. So I will try to be extra conscious of this today and break this chain of allowing the bad days back in. I can do this. I have to keep my eyes on my goal of showing a loss for my next doctor's appointment in May. I have tried this sooooo many times in the past and failed. I will not allow another fail to happen.

Mara, you are doing very well!! I love your cat climbing up the tree.

Dee, I would be very happy with a 43 min average of exercise. Mine is sporatic at best.

kfunk
, these bump ups happen to all of us. You will continue on the downward trend.

I seem to be losing really slowly - down 2 lbs. I think my goal of 6 lbs may have been a bit too ambitious.

Mara - great job!
wannabehealthy - it's hard getting back on track sometimes after a few days off plan. I struggle with this at times too. I hope today is better for you.

mara -9 lbs. is amazing, well done!!

carol all it takes is 1 meal on plan to fuel the next on plan meal and that turns into a day, which turns into 2. You can do it!! The only way you can fail is by quitting. You are doing a great job! This is the first time I have been successful at losing more than 30 lbs. In the past I get to the 30 lb. mark and give up and gain it all back. Even though this is my first successful journey, I can tell you that I have had more times than I can count where I took time off and then got back to business. You are doing great!!

flower 2 lbs. is fantastic!! And you are due for a whoosh soon anyways!! I have heard that it comes off slower the closer to goal we get. Get it girl!!
