unwanted37lbs: You're making great progress this week!
gail28: Enjoy your weekend and safe travels! See you on Sunday.
momtopands: The evenings are always the worst for me, too...that's when all my snacking triggers happen between late night cravings, staying up too late and getting hungry again after my last meal, and - if I'm watching Netflix with my husband - the urge to snack throughout an entire movie, etc. Hope you're able to get your evenings under control!
TooManyDimples: I'm glad that your losses are continuing, in spite of TOM...always nice when that happens! I hope your workout helps improve your mood today.
Slimmer Me: I hope we're able to keep up the first-of-the-year momentum, as well!
gardenerjoy: Nice consistent downward trend so far...hope it keeps up for you! I know last month was frustrating. I bet you'll hit your goal and then some this month.
VickieLou: Nice loss!
Chub: Nice work getting your exercise out of the way first thing in the morning!
Weigh-in today was 207.0...I was surprised not to see a gain after our impromptu lunch out yesterday on top of the fact that my husband had some tortilla chips out on our desk (we share an L shaped desk, so it was right within reach), and I went from "just sneaking one or two" to full-on mindless snacking while on the computer. I was probably about 200 cals in on the chips before I realized what I was doing! I get pulled in by salty snacks quicker than any other kind. Once I'd realized that I'd already eaten 12-13 chips, I made him take them away... I did my first workout on our new-to-us elliptical last night, and I worked up a sweat - which is unusual for me, so I think that helped a little...lol. Also, this means I finally get a new dragonfly for my signature today! Fingers crossed that I get to keep it tomorrow, since it is exactly to the ounce today.

Thanks, opheliaphoenix! I was hoping to continue the downward trend today, but I don't think I drank enough water yesterday. I'll fix that today! The elliptical sounds fun.
Weigh-in was 206.8 today. I stayed up until 4am last night, so I am feeling pretty sluggish this afternoon. I have a lot of tasks today - including packing up all the Christmas decorations and tree, running errands in town, and catching up on some chores - so I'm hoping that getting up, around, and moving will help me feel less like a lump on a log for the day...lol.

Thanks opheliaphoenix for the encouragement. I work night shift on the weekends so I was surprised that last night I didn't snack and I understand that chips in the break room. However I didn't bring any big snacks, just some fruit. It's harder during the week when i'm off but i'm working on it. Congratulations on your loss.

Back in NC, and to my regular scale, today. It looks like the FL scale weighs heavier than my normal scale - bonus! It's also possible that I'm a little dehydrated - I was driving most of the last couple of days and didn't drink as much as usual. We'll see how things look at tomorrow's weigh-in.
As of 1/1, I stopped tracking points... instead, I'm eating whatever (healthy) food I want, but only eating when I'm hungry and keeping portions small. I still find myself mentally thinking "points" from time to time -- because I've done that on and off for so long that it's automatic -- but I'm trying not to. So far, it seems to be working - and I feel liberated from the diet mentality. We'll see how it goes longer term...
I hope everyone is doing well! It's 10 degrees here in western NC this morning.... looking forward to a slight warm-up next week.
1/1: 200.4 - FL scale
1/2: 198.8
1/3: 198.8
1/4: 198.6
1/5: 198.2
1/6: DNW - traveling
1/7: 195.8 - back to my regular (NC) scale
Start: January 1, 2018 ~ 268.4 Goal for the month ~ 253.4 Current Weight ~ 261.8 Lbs to go ~ 8.4
01: 268.4
02: 266.6 (-1.8)
03: 265.2 (-1.4)
04: 263.6 (-1.6) TOM
05: 262.6 (-1) TOM
06: 262.6 TOM
07: 261.8 (-.8) TOM
TOM should be wrapping up, though for the first time probably ever I can't complain about my numbers during it. The timing was pretty darn good with starting the new year.
Everyone is doing great so far!

momtopands: Congrats on your loss, as well...you are recovering from that small bump up very nicely!
gardenerjoy: Whew! Haha.
gail28: Definitely a bonus! Hope you get to keep the loss once you rehydrate. And, brrrr....10 degrees is too cold for my blood, lol.
TooManyDimples: I am glad TOM was nice to you this time around...hopefully that is a good omen for the rest of the year, haha.
Slimmer Me: It's always great when you can still show a loss for the week, even with a bump up right at the end. My body seems to do that to me every single week, as well...though, I was lucky it was just a small bump this time around. I wonder if our bodies or scale know it's time for a weigh in and just like to mess with us?
Weight was back up a smidge to 207.0 today. Yesterday was all on-plan, but it seems like my body still likes keeping the pattern of bumping up at the end of the week. Strange, but fascinating...lol.
