working you are cruising right along, way to go!!! He is doing very well! We will be going in for more xrays towards the end of the week, but it is casted and he wears a sling, so the stabilization helps his pain levels.

Good morning ladies!!! I ended up taking a last minute pause day last night. I had ZERO energy and was very sleepy. I have a feeling that I might end up needing to take a few more as needed while I am doing low carb. Hopefully by body will adjust to that soon though!

kfunk, You are rocking your no sodas challenge, Wow, and almost 1/2 done with your shred challenge. I can so understand you lack of energy ---- especially on a low carb diet. I am surprised at how challenging my 10,000 steps 6x a week has been. I've had long days not at home, any routine is hard to keep up at this point.

How is everyone else doing?

working You are doing amazing at your step challenge, way to go!! 10,000 is so much more than I imagined that it would be. I remember way over estimating the amount of steps I thought I did during a day and being very surprised how low the number ended up being when I wore my fitbit for the first time!

SO... funny you bring up how well my diet soda challenge is going.... I used up my remaining 2 pause days over the weekend. I have been feeling really rundown lately, very little energy and I have been craving carbs that are full of gluten lol, but chose the lesser of the 2 evils and opted for diet soda instead of the cake I was eyeballing!!

I know I can make it the next 4 days without one, and probably longer, so will keep working at it!!

I took 2 days off from the 30DS this weekend because I felt my body needs to rest and partly because we were busier than normal. I feel awful and hope I am not on the verge of getting sick. I think that 3 pause days was a little bit over ambitious for my fitness level and a low carb diet, but I am going to keep going even though I am out of out of pause days.

No diet drinks: Day 17 PAUSE ( 0 pause days left)
30 Day Shred: Day 15 PAUSE (0 pause days left)

Kfunk - I think you should add three(or 6) Rest Days, especially with a low carb diet. I thought one rest day per week would be plenty but am wishing I had more. Hoping you don't get sick, take care of yourself. Awesome job on cutting down on the soda. I would have to agree that a soda is better than a piece of cake.

This was a good challenge to take because I realize steps per day should not be my goal. Since lifting, stretching and yoga have very little steps, I have dropped them during this challenge. I will finish this challenge, but will not repeat it.

How is everyone doing?

I am taking a break from my workouts until I am 100% again. I have 6 more days on antibiotics and then will start my challenge over. This time I will add in rest days so I don't burn out!

working good job finishing this challenge even though you realize that its not something that you would repeat!! This is just my opinion and won't work for everyone.. but I think that as long as you have a calorie deficit you will lose weight. I don't think it matters what time of the day these calories come in. I think that if you are making a good choices at night, then it will be okay assuming you are not going to bed stuffed.

I also made a decision about diet soda.... I am going to swap out my coffee during the weekdays and drink diet coke instead. Losing the coffee will save me a lot of calories and grams of carbs. Once I am maintaining then I will reverse this and get rid of the diet coke. As sad as it is, diet soda is making the cravings for other things so much more tolerable, it feels like a treat.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well, but glad you took action and should be recovering quickly.

Thank YOU for the calorie deficit reminder. I too believe that and last night had a small fruit and cheese snack. The grapes were seeded and took a while to eat. I felt satisfied and did not go in search of other snacks.

I can understand your diet soda vs coffee or other high carb choice. My replacement for sodas which took a while to find include Kombucha (a fermented drink that is bubbly - low calorie and the sugars have been transformed in the fermenting process) and La Croix brand sparkling water (with 0 calories). Their berry waters are too sweet but I so enjoy the natural Lime flavor, the natural grapefruit flavor and natural coconut flavor. All are very satisfying and the two ingredients are carbonated water and natural flavor. I can find them in all the grocery stores here and am hoping you can find them to try in your area too.

Still formulating my next challenge, probably to do with morning exercise of different types.

working good morning!! How have you been doing?

I plan on getting back to my workouts tonight. I am excited about that, it has been too long! I also have decided to abandon low carb, so now I am back to square one. I love lacroix water, and most stores have cheaper versions now that are also good, although limited on flavor options. I had a horrible weekend, and am trying not to repeat the same old story in every post, but basically the past 2 weeks have been really draining and it all went to h*ll this weekend, but Monday was a GREAT day on plan and today has started out GREAT, so it will all be good!

I am looking to your ticker for motivation, I can't wait to see what it feels like to be in the low 150's!

kfunk, sorry to hear you had a horrible weekend. It's awesome that you are so quickly back on track. You are well on your way to permanent weight loss and reaching your goal with this short recovery ability under your belt.

I was better grocery shopping than I have been for a while, no special goodie that will challenge me for the week. We are predicted to have good weather for a week at least and I'm so looking forward to walking outside as often as I can. Still haven't figured out a good new challenge. I'm glad if my ticker can help motivate you!

kfunk, will be seeing you over on gardenjoy's November Weight loss challenge. Can't think of a good 21 day challenge at this point. Munchey's 2017 year-end pound clearance challenge will also have a habit change spreedsheet. Maybe I'll see you there as well.
