working I am impressed that you made it past day 4 without giving in. Once I decide I want something it is VERY hard to talk myself out of it, very impressive!!
An exercise challenge sounds like a good one! That is my biggest weakness. Hmmm... I will have to think about what my next one will be. I want to finish this out with 21 consecutive days, no pause breaks!

Day 5 - Success , I have to be mindful at night, not to just pick up food and eat it. I should extend this mindfulness to my full day.
jessie, Check in and let us know how you are doing.
kfunk, Another one bites the dust!

Reason: edit
day 1: done
day 2: done
day 3: done
day 4: done
day 5: PAUSE - I didn't drink diet coke, but I did have a diet rootbeer and a diet pepsi. I did manage to avoid a glass of wine and I stopped myself at dinner when I wanted more but didn't need more, so I am pretty happy
If it's okay, I'd like to join you all. My challenge is to do my strength training exercises, splitting muscles groups on alternate days, Monday-Friday. Some weeks I'll be able to include Saturday as well. I do this just before breakfast, nothing fancy just a mat, body weight and some 5lb dumbells.
I started last week, so I'm on day 3.
Thanks for this thread, I could really use a place to check in with this, I've become so out of shape.

day 7: PAUSE
Tomorrow I will be back to day 5 and will be all out of pause days. Yesterday I went out to eat and drank ice water and then went to a movie and had a diet pepsi, but I stayed away from the popcorn at least. Today I finished the rest of the diet pepsi (it was a 20 oz). I am all out of pauses and that's okay! I can finish strong!!
Tortie, and to this thread. I am stoked that your challenge is strength training. Like kfunk, I need to add this back into my routine as well.
Maybe you will be inspiration for both of us.
kfunk, I've run this challenge with all my pause days taken before, so it can be done! One day at a time.
jessie, Sugar is a hard one, especially among crowd eating. My mindless snacking is keeping my weight up, darn it, so I am planning to be better this week. I'm hoping you can keep your hands busy today at work with a glass of water or bag of carrots. My fingers are crossed for you.

Day 7(/17) - Success; Had to fight an urge to make buttered popcorn last night. Not sure how i did it. I've noticed that mindless snacking during the day is also a problem, so am making myself eat at the table for all food, or at least NOT in front of the TV.

kfunk, I think 30 day shred would be the stuff of nightmares for me atm
Once I complete this 21 day strength training 5 days a week challenge, I'll add some nice gentle Leslie Sansone to the mix - or maybe a brief walk around the neighbourhood. Baby steps for me still, and that's okay.

9/18 - Pause Day - Had a nibble after dinner before I realized I shouldn't be nibbling. Nibbling is NOT a good habit, will try not to repeat this anytime soon.
Day 8(9/19) - Success - very mindful this evening.
