BBL is heavy on lunges too. I used to detest lunges, and I still sorta do when they're just straight up lunges. But in BBL, they're incorporated into sequences that actually feel good to me. To me, Leandro's brilliance (the trainer) is how he's "hidden" so many squats and lunges into a design that's actually pleasant. BBL's not for everyone though, which is why I want to be upfront about its nature.

kfunk - Nah, I think it's smart to take a rest day or two. Re: measurements/photos, when I did BBL a few year ago, I did take some before/after measurements. I don't recall the specific figures, but I remember rly liking the results. At the time, I was already thin and fit at the start and I still got significant results. I haven't taken any "before" pics yet or measurements this year, but I really should. Did you do "befores" for 30DS?

I ended up skipping last night, I had a migraine when I got home from work and decided to take it easy.

ennay I forgot about lunges, I guess I have two weaknesses, haha!!

lunkah That is awesome that he is able to disguise them, it sounds like a fantastic workout, I am excited for it!! I cant wait to be strong!! My ultimate goal is to jog, my endurance is pathetic, it was even pathetic when I was 50 lbs. lighter. I have done 6 days of the shred, am still on level one. I took pics right before I started and then I think I will take them when day 15 is over and at the end. How is it the BBB going for you lately?

kfunk - Good luck with your jogging goal. I know you can do it! It's funny you mention jogging bc BBL shaved 2 min off my per mile pace. I hadn't even considered that potential side effect so was delighted! I think once you're done with 30DS, you'll find your endurance significantly improved.

I haven't been doing BBL per se. Last month, I did just the short workout, except for 4 or 5 times when I did the full length one. The complete routine requires quite a bit more than that. (There are 3 other workouts with it.)

Now I have Beachbody on Demand, so I've been doing a hodgepodge of different workouts. I've stumbled into following the 21 Day Fix workout, so I think I'll complete that one. I'll probably hold off on doing the complete BBL routine again until Nov when my BoD plan ends, since I own that dvd set. (I'm doing the 3 month trial with BoD. I plan to order it twice a year and do other exercise in between.)

I'm not diligent with taking measurements, but you've inspired me to take some before pics so that I have a comparison point for when I'm done with 21 Day Fix. Thank you!

So I have been taking ds through some yoga for baseball and doing it with him. Yesterday I did it before weights and it was a great warmup. Today I did it before (theoretically) running and now my legs feel like jello and I want to take a nap. hmmm. yoga before weights but AFTER running.

I have gotten in two walks (which I never report because it doesn't feel like they count as an actual workout) but yeah, this has been a dismal month. We're building a house and I usually workout in the evenings but lately every night I'm over at the new house building a deck or laying a floor or something. I miss my workouts, though, and need to find a way to fit them in.

Everyone is doing so well!!

eagle laying floors and building decks is HARD work, and you have managed to find time for a couple of walks!! We are only 1/3 through the month, what you are doing will add up and you will be better for it!!

ennay I love it when I am done working out and my legs feel like jello, makes me feel like it was really successful!! It does make it difficult when you want to take a nap and have things left to do though!

lunkah That is a really good idea ordering it 2 times per year and then doing your other workouts in between! Is it $40 for the whole 3 months? I have heard good things about the 21 day fix program!! That is amazing that the BBB shaved MINUTES off of your pace!! How often do you weigh in? I think its awesome you took measurements and pictures!

Wednesday and Thursday I had migraines so did not work out. On Thursday I went to bed without even eating dinner... hopefully they stay away for the rest of the month!! I can deal with the headache part, but I am a total baby with nausea, throwing up is one of my phobias

Ya I'm sucking this month lol. For the last week I've been dealing with a work crisis. So it's been difficult to find the motivation to do much of anything when I'm depressed. I'm also working at 4am 3-4 days a week, so evening walks haven't been happening much. And it's still too hot in the daytime to do much. Luckily I've only "gained" 2 pounds. Which I don't really count when it's only 2 pounds because that's water weight or from lack of sleep. My eating is still doing pretty ok.
