Labor Day:

Kfunk: CONGRATULATIONS on a new century! WTG!!

GulfMagnolia: Looking Good! Nice, sustained loss!

Magistra: your pajama/journaling day sounds wonderful. I wish I could eat ice cream for one day like you, and then not go into a carbohydrate consuming frenzy! I have no restraint!

Farn: Weight loss looking good! Did you manage to avoid the "cheat weekend"?

CandidCamster: CONGRATULATIONS on that low weight! And for finding healthy substitutes for processed sweets! I'm hoping to eventually be able to add fruits back without them triggering unhealthy cravings. We went to the farmer's market today. My oh My! The peaches smelled so fabulous, not like grocery store peaches. They had cantaloupe and little round watermelons, plums and cherry tomatoes.....I did get some green beans, cabbage, cucumbers, some kind of giant onion that's supposed to be as sweet as an apple (I'll have to dice it very thin and just sprinkle it on top of a salad or an omelet), and red, yellow and green tomatoes. (The green ones are for DH who gave me puppy dog eyes and asked if I'd fry him some even if I couldn't have them....I acquiesced, and he bought a whole basket! Grrrrr!) I love your Churchill quotes!

Joyful in Missouri: Great job on the four pounds down! Cheesecake!! OMG....you are killing me!

LauraRVA: Hope your family situation sorted itself out. I love the picture of you with the medal! You GO!

DayDreamer: I hope you are doing well in spite of the slew of plans! Hang in and hang on!

Have a great week everyone!

Heya LurchMomma! Yeah I'm a huge fan of Churchill's wisdom/quotes, he was an incredible man. Also congratulations on the huge weight loss, you're doing wonderful! I'm currently avoiding the scale because yesterday was TERRIBLE (I ate a whole box of peanut butter granola bars by Annie's & a pint of Halo Top ice cream, plus a couple of frozen pizzas). The day before I had stayed on track but my weight climbed up 2.2 lbs. overnight (I'd had a lot of sodium I think is what did it + plus while I stayed within a deficit my dinner was very heavy which usually makes me heavier the next day ). Today I had a Coke Life (I normally avoid soda, but I wanted to try it, I know, I know) it was good but I won't make it a habit, and a cheesy bean and rice burrito from Taco Bell sprinkled with Cayenne Pepper powder.

kfunk6113: Onederland!!! I am so jelly right now! Congrats!!!

Well, I am back...

Hope you all did well this past week. I managed to stay on track for the first 4 days of having family over, but for magical reasons I kept putting weight on. So, the last 3 days I went all out, and ate more than I had in a while... So here we are with a gain this week. Yay...

Oh well... Back on to the horse. I managed to do pretty well yesterday, even though I was craving everything noms. Today the scale showed 204.6 so I am kind of happy about that, my lowest weight last week. I got to be extra good the rest of the week, see if I can make up for the gain and maybe even lose some extra?

My very optimistic goal is to lose 2 more lbs until Monday... being I probably am retaining some water, it might not be all too crazy.

Anyway, sorry for the huge rant! :P

Hi there! I kind of lost track of my weight loss for the last 2 months, so this will be my way of getting back in my rhythm again! Luckily, during that 2 months I gained maybe 3 pounds back, and have worked that off already to be back to where I was 2 months ago. My goal between now and Labor Day is to lose 8 pounds; to continue to be active for 25-30 minutes (at least) every day; and to keep my calories at 1600 every day and stop allowing myself the small cheats on a regular basis.

SW: 262
GW: 254

Good luck, all!

Ok note to self - No more soda for the next couple of weeks (after I polish off this Coke Life today ), no more Annie's fruit snacks or other sugar-based nutrient-poor snacks. 256.6 today (2.6 up from my recent lowest) but in a weird way I'm just super thankful to be out of the 260's. Today I am aiming for 2,000 or less calories.

Thank you, gulf, joyful, lurch and daydreamer

Gulf you are doing so well!! It took me ALL week to get back into the 197's after last weekend! How has it been going cutting out diet coke? I had none Monday-Thursday and then I decided to have some this weekend, but it is helping me stay on plan with food so I will keep cutting back slowly and surely!

Lurch your numbers look great, keep up the great work!!

daydreamer 204.6 is awesome, I bet you are right and can drop a couple more by Monday!! You are SO close to onderland Great job getting back on track after the weekend!!

Jrkessle welcome back!! Nice job maintaining during the last couple months! Your goals look great!

Candid The first couple days will be the hardest, but you can do it!! I bet the 2.6 will come off pretty fast, most of it is probably water!

Hi laura, great progress!! Your post made me giggle, I just found a challenge that I forgot I joined as well

joyful You will be there before you know it! How have you been doing lately?

HI all, I hope that everyone is doing great!! I feel like I am getting my confidence back and hopefully I can keep going strong. The fourth of July will be okay, but we are having a party to celebrate on the 8th, and that will be difficult. I am not going to be strict at all, and nothing will be off limits except getting drunk and binging.

Candid how is the no soda life? I wish I had your strength

kfunk it's NOT going hahaha! Sometimes I feel that Diet Coke is the only thing keeping me going. But now that the heat is here, it's making me feel crappy. Sigh

I finally beat my weight loss plateau!!! I've been sitting at 261.2 (with going up and down a few times the last 2 months) but I haven't been able to break 261.2 for months! Today after work I checked in at 260.2!! I'm hoping tomorrow to be under 260.

SW: 262
CW: 260.2
GW: 254

I've also been going for a walk with my dog every night for 25-30 minutes, and the last two nights I've walked two miles with her. We've been doing this every evening at 8pm for the last couple of weeks, and it feels really good to build this healthy routine!

Jrkessle Congrats on breaking your plateau AND getting out of the 260's Good job on the walks as well!!

daydreamer Holy smokes!!! How does it feel to be SO close to getting out of the 2's??

It is so wonderful to read the posts and see how everyone is doing. I had a 1 pound gain this week, and I wasn't pleased. but I know why I did. This week will be better. In spite of the slight weight gain I am meeting 2 of the mini goals that I set for myself for this challenge. My clothes are fitting better and I have increased my daily steps to 5000 a day (from an average of 2200 before this challenge). Small steps towards a big change is how I look at it.

kfunk6113: To be blatantly honest, it's horrible! :P I keep repeating to myself "So close, yet so far." I know I'll get there but I am so eager, like a kid waiting for Christmas. I'm not a very patient person...

Joyful in Missouri: Just keep on going and don't give up. Sure you put on 1 lbs last week, but you still have made a lot of progress from the day you started!

Hi everyone Is it too late to join the challenge? I know most of June is gone already..

DayDreamer26: Thank you for getting the challenge started, it looks like you’re having a great month so far!

Kfunk6113: Congratulations on making it to Onederland!

Gulfmagnolia: A 5k by Labor Day is a great goal! Congratulations on your loss so far, you’re doing great!

Joyful: Glad to see your challenge is going well Congrats on your NSVs

Jrkessle: Way to beat that plateau and make it into a new decade!

My goal is to lose 22.7 pounds, 5% body fat and a few inches off my measurements, as well as to no longer consume empty liquid calories (except for the occasional glass of red ).. here’s lookin at you, coffee . I will accomplish this by meeting my step goal every day, logging in faithfully here and MFP and keeping up with the challenge, accountability and the getting out of the “insert decade here” threads. I will be starting C25K, and aim to stay on plan, slowly taper my coffee intake and stay hydrated My weigh-in days for this challenge will be Mondays. Good luck all.
