Daughter is missing practices due to this nasty ugly weather!

Nichols That is fantastic! I love seeing your charts ladies, very inspirational. Nichols it is cool to see how it can fluctuate but then busts down lower! Very inspirational! Yucky weather here too but it should be getting better next week. Good time for buckling down and finishing out the month strong and then when the nice weather hits will feel great!
As for me, the weekend went well. Did not have the haddock as planned (missing an ingredient) but we will have that tonight. Had zoodles...I lost 1.6 over the weekend so happy. 5.5 lbs. down so far, 1.3 to go to meet goal.........sooo close. I will keep at it and see what happens. It really does help to stay accountable like this, it makes me work harder! smiling

Here I am, slinking back into the room with my tail tucked. Life's been happening(caught a cold, power outage, hubby home due to storms) so finding time to workout and watch my diet has been filling my little free time, posting here was just more than I could get to.
I'm a bit of a workout slacker also, shoulder tendonitis has limited my workouts and I just can't seem to help grabbing the weights every time it's almost better. Almost but not quite, so I keep reinjuring it. I have to leave them alone for a few weeks this time for sure. I'm doing squats like crazy though so that's at least some weight bearing type exercise for now. Not drinking enough water either but I'm back on target today.
Everyone in my house is back where they belong, school and work, so I can get myself all straightened out now. I'll miss goal but a good month over all considering disruptions.

Quick update today since I am a few days behind! It's been such a busy past few days that I haven't even been weighing in, and we have eaten out a couple times. I kept on track as far as calories go, and I've been getting in my walks, but haven't been doing very well with the water and went overboard on the bread yesterday at a restaurant. So, I'm thinking I must be bloated from it all, because my weigh-in was back up to 246.2 today. Ugh. Needless to say, this is going to be an unsuccessful week overall, but I will take it in stride because the month as a whole has been going pretty well so far. Just a bump in the road! I will make up for it this coming week.

I'm pleased with staying under 100 for two days in a row. If it sticks, I should need just one fast day to drop to my March goal weight of 98.5 as I know I tend to lose 1 kg during fasts.
opheliaphoenix if I tracked my progress weekly, I too would have very dissapointing weeks. Some weeks I lose nothing and the next week doing exactly the same I lose four pounds. It's good that you're looking at the bigger picture, your progress so far has been amazing!
NightSnacker your overall loss for this month is pretty great I think, I'm sure you will drop to 251-ish if your recent gain is just dehydration and salt! Well done on losing so much under such complicated circumstances!
Hi Ophelia!! You have such a good attitude!! I am sure that the bloat will be washed away and you will get to a new low very soon! Good job staying within your calories when you went out to eat, and also, staying on top of your walks!
The worst part of my cold is over and tonight I am finally going to start lifting weights! eeek... hopefully it goes well! I am going to weigh in on Saturdays from now on until my body adjusts to my new routine, but I will check in everyday still!

Nancylmrn I bounce like you do, it's disheartening sometimes but the trend is still downwards after all, that's what counts. I was getting very frustrated then I added squats and that kicked things a bit faster. I hate them so much but no denying they are helping. Seem to burn calories like crazy!
kfunk when I added weights my loss stalled for awhile, I started measuring then and that kept me from losing my mind. Pound of fat is so much bigger than a pound of muscle, it really is true. I think sometimes at first my muscles were so sore and swollen that I actually seemed to gain a bit. It evened out after the first month though.

kfunk6113: Thank you...thankfully, it is already starting to flush back out. Hoping it will continue to settle back down over the last few days, lol. Glad you're starting to feel better and good luck with the weights!! I'll be following your progress closely on that because I am looking at doing the same things soon...I'd make sure to measure yourself right as you start too, so any stalls you may have due to muscle building won't be disruptive to your motivation when you will be reshaping yourself! You've got this!

Weigh-in was back down to 244.6 today, so it looks like I am starting to depuff from my last few days...thinking I was in carb overload, especially from that dang tasty bread. My rings are still tight when they are normally a little loose now, so I know I still have some bloating going on, but I am happy that there is a least some loss to show for this week afterall. And, it also helps to realize that I hit my month's goal way back on the 18th...I never keep track of that, it seems! Haha. So, that takes the sting out a little, as well. We'll see what these last few days of the month will bring!

Weight was still down today but ate alot of bread today so I wouldn't be surprised if it is up tomorrow.
Next month I'm going to lower my weight loss from 10 pounds to probably about 7. Because I know that's manageable.
