WTG everyone! Seems like everyone is really doing great. kwalk 17 lbs ...absolutely amazing!! Keep up the hard work!
As for me..my weight doesn't know what it wants to do. It bounces all over the place. Just when I think I'm trailing downward I go back up. I'm not doing anything different..if anything getting a bit more exercise. I'm going to up my calorie intake tonight to try and switch things up..hopefully it pulls it down!

Thank you for your encouragement.! I am on Medifast...round two. Enjoying the ease of the program and the weight loss.
I've struggled with this weight for the past 5 years. Up and down all the time. I feel like I am finally on a good downward spiral towards my goal.
My best to you in meeting your weight loss goals!!
Karen

Nichols - maybe you are building more muscle with the upped exercise? Also, everything I read says that it just gets tougher for us "shorties" as you get closer to a healthy weight. I am to the point where I am judging measurements and how clothes fit as much, if not more, than the scale as I get closer to where I want to be. We are almost the same stats... I am 5'2" and 148 right now. I started last May at #202.
I travel a lot for my work, which is more and more of a challenge as I get closer to a healthy weight. When I was #200 pounds, just eating a healthy diet created a caloric deficit. Now, carrying #50 fewer pounds = less caloric demand. I am sure it isn't news that we need more exercise and fewer calories to create the losses we experienced only a few months ago. But, that is GOOD news - right?

I am average height, 5'6" but menopausal and losing weight is soooooooo much harder now. I'm back from a vacation that involved a lot of driving/siting and watched everything I ate. I am thrilled to be the same weight as my pre- vacation weight. So my eating is under control. Now... I need to excercise more indoors, ugh, cause it's still snow covered and nasty outside. I may need to report for some accountability!

Hi Working! Congrats on the no-gain vaca. Didn't that feel GREAT? - to be under control! I have never tried to lose weight before, so I don't have a comparison to BM and AM. But, things are going okay for me AM. Reporting - have you joined an exercise challenge? I hope the spring arrives quickly for you. I do so much better outside biking than inside elliptical/cycling.

Hey everyone!
A little announcement, I've decided to drop out of the challenge. I'll still be making the charts though, don't worry! I suffer with depression/anxiety and after coming home from my trip to England I've had an exceptionally hard time trying to get back on track (as I've previously mentioned). I need to make sure I focus on just a couple of goals in my life right now, and losing weight isn't the most important one. I've got a couple of projects for work that I've been pushing off and if I push them off any longer then I risk affecting my job, considering life as a freelancer is turbulent financially that has to be my sole focus in life right now. Gotta pay the bills y'all . I'm 168 lbs, so I've definitely been maintaining my weight throughout the challenge, so maintenance is going to be my sole focus behind the scenes.
I have issues with feeling pressured to do things, but the pressure comes from myself. I've began to feel pressure to post in the forum, but I never have anything positive to say so I've put it off. In doing so I feel pressure rising to "catch up" with everyone's posts and it's starting to affect me negatively. Therefore I'm afraid to say I might not post much for the rest of the challenge, except to publish the charts. I know it might sound a little cruel to abandon you all like that, but I need to create a pressure-free mental environment for myself if I'm going to feel better in the long run. As soon as I feel like myself again and I'm working regularly I'll begin to focus on exercise once more and at that point I'm sure I'll be ready to get back into life on the forum. So this is definitely not goodbye forever, just a see you soon message!
Take care and you're all doing so great!!

Thank you so much for giving us this challenge and for being insightful enough to know that stepping back from it is best for you right now. I hope you get your work deadlines sorted and things calm down in your world soon. Let us know if you feel doing the spreadsheets is too much now, we will totally understand.
Take care and be kind to yourself, hugs

Riestrella ~ You need to take time for you. I think I speak for all of us and tell you that you can let the spreadsheet go. Yes, the contest is fun, but wouldn't be the same without you joining in.
Please consider. This would be one less thing off your agenda. Just get back to your freelance work and sort through the necessities. I am empathetic to your needs. When you are ready to return, we will welcome you with open arms!

Oh my Rie - TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF !!!! I understand the darkness. Please keep the faith and know you made it through to the other side before and you WILL again. You don't need to do anything to the chart. Look at how far you have come even with the holidays and travel. No one cares if you respond to something they write. Please, if you can just pop in every few days to say "hi," so we don't all worry about you. Just a simple hello.

Riestrella: I agree with everyone above! Do what you have to do to take care of yourself and your real life, first and foremost. These challenges and spreadsheets are awesome, but please feel free to step away from them to find some balance with everything else that you having going on right now. We can just check the spreadsheets ourselves if we want to see the standings for now. We'd rather have you finding some peace of mind and coming back in a happier state than to have you catering to unnecessary stessors and feeling like you want to run away or remain silent. So, just take a break...you have earned it.

Rie, I can only echo the kind sentiments of the other posters; make yourself the priority and take care of yourself the best and most healthy way you can. I appreciate you and everything you've done for so many of us on the various threads. You make me want to have goals to work toward and it's because you set up these fun challenges. Blessings and good to you!

Riestrella - I understand the darkness of depression. I have suffered from major depression for many years and have had several relapses with my depression. Please make sure you take good care of yourself. It is a really good sign that you are able to recognize your symptoms and are taking the steps to so what you need to do to take care of yourself. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with my work schedule at the moment and I have noticed some of my symptoms returning and I know from past history that have to focus on my self-care a bit more at this time so that I don't start spiraling downward. Rie, thank you so much for doing these challenges and I appreciate the extra time this takes especially when you have depression. I wish you the best.
