Well..I survived the surgery. It did a LOT to improve my mood. I was getting soooo down and finding everything difficult. I'm hoping the mood will hold and I'll still be inspired to get to the gym next week. I'll have to be careful on accounta the stitches.

Some days it seems that folks are happily standing by, eager to knock me down into a whirlpool of devastation. To stay out of the whirlpool, here's what I'm saying to myself, when I recall a workplace conversation from today and that "person's" face: Pillock, Halwit, Eejit, Gobshite, Plonker, Divvy, Numpty, Mooncalf, Dorba..........yeah, I thesaurused "AH".....to find words a bit more refined and silly than P....k. "Pilgarlic".....that was a new one for me......so mean! Anyway, not a fun meeting. Given an opportunity to be helpful and useful, this jerk chose to be argumentative and divisive. Sooo frustrating...

...venting accomplished.....

Isn't this weather great?!

Hey girls!! I just joined today. Found you guys on the internet randomly browsing for some strong support groups for weight loss and healthy lifestyle maintenance.

About me:

Annie,
India,
Age 32

Family Issues: I belong to a broken family, parents divorced when I was 20, which triggered thyroid issues. Got married to a very loving man in 2006. He also has the same complicated family set up.Been facing loooootttts of emotional ups and downs since marriage coz we're a cancer-scorpio couple (emotions in overdrive!), but we somehow held our relation together which is our pride today! :-)

Health issues: Started with just thyroid, with TSH around 5.2, 8 years back. I ignored it and hence developed Pcod around 4 years back. But I was not serious with the treatment coz the medicines scared with all side effects.

Until last month!

Now we're focussing on starting a family, for which I need to treat my pcod and LOSE WEIGHT BIIIG TIME!

I started following a very healthy diet prescribed by my nutritionist, from 10th August 2015. At that time, I weighed 235.23 pounds.

Slowly, though without much exertion owing to my sedentary lifestyle, I lost some weight. Now I weigh 223.5 after 25 days!

Small victory, I know, but I don't want to lose my momentum, Coz I have a loooong way to go and loooove food, which means I AM going to be in tricky spots mannnny times :P

Which summarizes why I am here today!

Today is 4rth September. I want to lose at least 15 pounds by 30th September!!

Fingers crossed girls! I am chumming right now( started yesterday) so I guess, for a week, I would not show much weight reduction, but I hope I recover by next week :-)

Cheers girls!

Hello Annie and welcome! And that's no small victory - to me it looks like you have nothing short of a terrific start there! I know it's easy to get impatient, but in the end you have the rest of your life to be the new, healthier you, so there's no hurry. Good luck to you, this place is indeed great for support.

Annie! Great to have you here! Nearly 12 lbs in 25 days is fantastic!!! Keep going! And just to make sure I understand, do you want to lose 15 lbs from your overall start weight of 235.23 by Sept. 30th? Or do you want to lose 15 lbs from your weight now at 223.5?

PrairieQueen, yay on the nice drop!

BerryBB, a slow drop is still a good drop!

Delphi, I'm sorry to hear TOM is being difficult! Hang in there!

Keli, doesn't it just figure on your WI day, the scale would be contrary? But you are doing great! Keep it up!

Kymb92, hopefully your number will be back down tomorrow! Keep going!

SeeMyFeet, lolol! You "thesaurused," oh you are too funny! I'm so glad your surgery went well! I hope you heal quickly!

GettinFit, you can do it! C'mon now! Get that exercise in! Great job getting back within your points!

Karen, yay! Congrats on getting that 2 back!

Lovemylife, good job with the morning workout!

VickieLou, so close!!! C'mon Onederland!

Friaya, woohoo! That's a great start to the month!

Leah, I hope you woke up much improved today!

Pigeon, Joy, Raining, mydarlingqueen, EnglishMcTeach, and everyone else,
