I'm with you Sum on having nothing to wear now that summer is here. I have no idea what I am going to do. I have absolutely refused to purchase new clothes since I regained all the weight this time. BUT, now that summer is here and vacation around the corner I find myself at an impasse. I mean, I am actually on my way to losing the weight now, but my next "step" of clothes I have aren't for another 20 pounds. I really hate to spend money on clothes that I will only wear another few months or so. I have no idea what to do.

Delphi and Sum you will both feel so much better getting a few things that fit you now and are comfortable! I know it sucks to spend the money but the effect it has on your self esteem (rather than wearing baggy clothes that make you feel ugly or long sleeve shirts that make you sweat!) is worth every dime. And if you only wear it for a few months, consign it or sell on eBay.

OI. I had such a long range goal starting in January, which was to get to my birthday (May 4th) with 55 pounds gone. I was 7 pounds shy, which was fine but doing a much shorter goal sounds good! So for May I am just going to try and get OUT of the 300's if I can. That is my goal!

I'm adding my 4th Foundation Strategy from The Diet Trap Solution by Judith Beck today. So, now I'm doing these four things every day:
  • Read my list of advantages to losing weight
  • Eat slowly and while seated
  • Give myself credit during the day
  • Read my response cards (little tips I've written to counter my sabotaging thoughts)

NNS ~ Thanks. You know, I think I will splurge a bit. Maybe just an outfit now and perhaps a few things right before vacation. I'm feeling pretty good about the whole thing but you are right, that extra boost of confidence can be motivating to say the least. How are you liking that intermittent fasting? I have been thinking about trying it.

Snowwolf ~ You are very welcome. How are those goals going this week?

gardenjoy ~ Those sound awesome. The cue cards are a wonderful idea. Just the right amount of chicken soup for the soul material to keep you motivated throughout the day. Awesome!

jendestiny ~ to the group. That is sooooo cool your birthday is on May the Fourth. I'm a huge Star Wars geek, so that is just awesome! Good luck with your goals this month.

Well as for me, the scale is still not seeing much movement. I am trying to be patient but darnit, I have to get married in 10 months and I need this weight to start flying off..lol! In any case, I am just gonna stay on plan and keep doing what I am doing. I'm looking to switch up my cardio though. Anyone have any ideas?

Went on vacation and now TOM, so scale numbers have been moody for the last two weeks. But now I'm thinking I should have put my goal lower. I also feel like I'm not eating enough and not exerising enough, although I meet my calorie goals. I guess it's a balance I'll have to work out. Still trying to make this more lifestyle and less diet. Got down from 170 in the last four months since my move to Alaska!
