I did not log my exercising/work, but I did plenty of it. I finished the last two raised beds for the garden.
Removing six 55 gallon barrels with the soil mix in them, then digging 16'x5' bed 14" deep to place a 4'x15' X 2' high raised bed. 6 tons clay removal plus the barrels. Then placing gopher proof wire in the bottom and building the 2' high by 15' long planter. Loading a sandy soil from a nearby field, hauling it back then shoveling it back into the planters. 7 tons of soil plus 30 cu' of steer manure plus a 3" topping of chicken manure in 3 layers with the soil turned each time, and a final off after it was watered down to bring it to level.
The other planter was on raw ground. I removed the corrugated steel fencing around the entire garden which served both to keep varmints out and a wind break, then re-installed it 3 feet further out to make walk around room between the enlarged planting areas.
Then dug only 8" out to place an new raised bed in it. That was 2'X29' 14" deep planter. That calced out to about half the work of the previous one. It was lined with gopher wire, soil hauled in and mixed in with manure the same as the first one except this one got a 4" layer of chicken manure in it at the bottom.
Today I placed the final soil in both to bring them up to the level I wanted after they had been watered down. Next. tomorrow, but that is in Feb, I will spray a mixture of biological (bacteria and nematodes) which are friendly to plants and animals but ferocious soil pest killers to rid the soil of several types of soil pests such as cut worms and grubs.
I will install root heaters in them then plant. But that is in the Feb list.
Sorry about not posting this past month but I have been VERY busy with very little extra time. And I need to get out of here today to work also.
