You are such an inspiration, with your new goal and all.... maybe i'll have a new goal for the last 3 days of september if i reach this one.

When i reach "79,something" kilos i'll start weight training, so in october I might have a goal that includes those new workouts. When i started losing weight in january i commited to start strength training at this point, which is actually the start of the second half of my losing weight journey. I only have .2 kg to go, which means i might be starting weight training this week.

September goal: 600 minutes

9/2: Cardio and strength at gym, 35 min
9/4: Cardio and strength at gym, 30 min
9/8: Planks and squats at work, cardio and strength at gym, 40 min
9/10: 6.7 mile hike, 155 min.
9/12: Cardio at gym, 30 min.
9/14: 5? mile hike, 120 min.
9/16: Cardio and strength at gym, 40 min.

450/600 min.

I just got back from a two night backpacking trip. Because of the nature of the trip, I'm not going to include it in my monthly total but I did approximately 800 minutes of hiking! Hard to estimate exactly because of all the stops and breaks and whatnot. Crazy to compare how much I did in one weekend to the month overall.

Why not include the minutes? Backpacking is usually a tough workout - especially if you toted a backpack, camp gear, etc. (My user name is "Mountain" Mamma for a reason - sore feet & all! )

Oh it was one **** of a workout. Lol I'm certainly not implying that it wasn't...it was the hardest workout since my last backpacking trip.

I just don't want to throw off my numbers since we don't do a trip like that every month. I want to have a better handle on how many minutes I can expect to do each month within a normal, so I'll write it down but keep it separate from my goal.

Mountain mamma, there is an exercise as adventure thread on this board. I posted more about my trip there. Sounds like the thread may interest you!

Marina, that's great to be almost half way there! Congrats. Thanks, but I don't deserve any credit for my new exercise goals. My first goal was low (because of some disruptions & projects that actually took less time). Then my DH went out of town so I figured no excuse to get extra time in!

Noname, I know what you mean about throwing off the numbers; I am trying to figure out the minimum I can fit in all the time regardless of what's going on then any additional will be healthy extra. This month is different 'cause I'm trying to ramp it up to get back on track and because my schedule is allowing it.

Funny, just as you mentioned it I had noticed the adventure thread. Some exciting activities going on!!
