I had a slight gain in September. The first half of the month and most of August were a plateau - I was doing the right things (I think!), but the weight wasn't moving. The last two weeks of the month I did a maintenance break, so hopefully that will kick-start my October. I want to get out of the 180s! Starting Weight: 216 (Jan. 6) Jan. 31: 213 (-3 pounds) Feb. 28: 211.4 (-1.6 pounds) March 29: 204.4 (-7 pound) April 25: 201 (-3.4 pounds) May 30: 196.4 (-4.6) June 26: 194 (-2.4) July 31: 189 (-5) August 29: 186.8 (-2.2) September 26: 188.4 (+1.6) Total this year: -27.6 pounds |
thanks noname, good to see you also :hug: are you still doing 5:2? I've been maintaining also. I'm so ready to be permanently out of the 160's, but I know it's gonna take effort on my part and patience. Best of luck to you and all of us on seeing a new decade this month and being firmly planted in it :crossed:

Rennie, I am still doing 5:2. Well, aside from the two weeks I took off :) Tomorrow will be my second fast since my break. My skin looks forward to it (I broke out in horrible acne over my break!!!)

I am hoping to lose 40 lbs this year. That is 3.33 lbs a month. I'm joining this challenge on 2/26 at 216.8. The year started at 231 and the goal for 12/31 is 191.

Hey, everybody! I hope it's okay if I jump in, even at this late date. I joined 3fc back in 2009 under a different username (can't remember the password) and was really successful using this site. I've been away for quite awhile and although I haven't regained too much of the weight (about 10 pounds), I really miss the way that I used to feel when I worked out consistently and tracked what I was eating. I don't think my calorie count is too high at this point, but I find myself snacking on absolute junk most of the time. For the rest of this year and next, I'd really like to focus on getting back into shape. My specific goals for October through December:
1.) Go to belly dance class at least once a week. 2.) Practice taekwondo at least twice a week. 3.) Run at least three times a week. 4.) Track my food and water intake every day. 5.) Lose 10 pounds. |
