Hi AmberJune! Of course, you can join! So glad to have you! I am so happy to hear that you have given up purging as a means to lose weight. You are so smart not to want that legacy passed on to your child! You are going to be just fine losing weight the old-fashioned way! It just takes determination and patience. I'd say probably most people on the site count calories. Some do packaged meal programs. Some do the Beck Diet. Some do Atkins. Some do Weight Watchers, and so on. I do a modified Slow Carb Diet. Some people exercise a lot, some just a little. Everyone is different and they have to figure out what works best for them so that they'll stick to it long term. Whichever weight loss plan you choose, just remember: determination and patience. You can do this! And a year from now, you are going to be so happy you did!

Yay! I am down to 179 today! That's the weight I was when I lost my mojo and jumped off the band wagon four years ago. (See my old green ticker, which I keep up as a reminder). That's not happening this time, lol! I'm going all the way, and then I'm maintaining, which is my biggest goal of all, and I'm looking forward to it!

Darius, thank you for your service! And yes, that was villainous not to give you Veteran's Day off, lol!
183, yay on the 1.3 lbs down! I'm so glad you are having a happy morning!
TRFChic, hang in there! Plateaus are a part of the journey too!
Woodstock, good job getting back on plan! Doesn't it feel so good when that scale moves downward?
Kelijpa, congrats on the drop!!
Mainecyn, seeing a different number on the doctor's scale would be startling, but that number is just a measurement to help us keep track. The most important thing is that you are losing weight!
Minneey, yay on the lb down! And good job on the planning!
LfChanges, maintaining is always better than gaining, so that's good news!
AmberJune, here is a link on the weight tracker: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/anno...questions.html.
Wannaskip, yay on the drop (on any scale)! Keep going! :
Turtle, hang in there! The whoosh fairy has to be nearby!

I thought October was bad, but November is worse. I was actually going up for a while ... going back down now, but it's going to be a fight this month.

Good Afternoon!!! wow we sure talk a lot in this forum
mainecyn 8 pounds is a fair difference, but it is possible that it was your clothes and boots. Plus if you had eaten and drank anything it would weigh you down as well. Work boots themselves can be heavy things what I would suggest is weight them to see if they maybe added a few pounds to that scale reading. No matter what though, it isn't the number on the scale that matters as much as the fact you are losing, even IF your scale is off by 8 lbs, that doesn't mean you haven't lost the same amount of pounds you have lost using it to track. It just means that you started a small amount higher than you thought. not the funnest of ideas, but it doesn't take away the hard work you have put it so far!
Minneey You can do it
183StGB studying abroad!!! fun!!! Im looking at a summer in dublin, probably not this summer but the next. What places are you considering?

Congratulations on seeing the scale move. It always feels so good to get back to an old weight that you haven't seen in a while, kind of gets you excited and able to continue.
Happy Birthday!

Eureka…I finally broke away from 139. I hope it sticks!

Turtle: I feel your pain. But just as I finally moved away from 139, you too will move away from 155…hang in there.
Jacqui: Woohoo…congrats on the 170’s! I’m SOOO happy for you.
Woodstock: You’ve almost caught up to where you were before your weekend sins!
183StGB: Exchange opportunities sound exciting! Congrats on the loss.
Wannaskip: Way to kick that salt…and the pounds…to the curb!
Minneey: Congrats on getting back into the 130’s!
boatingmommy: Glad you enjoyed your weekend. I LOVE pecan pie!
LfChanges: Hope you had a good day too!
Pixi: Happy Birthday!
tefrey: Hang in there…you’ve lost 2 lbs so far, which is great!
kalijpa: Congrats on the whoosh!
mainecyn: Fully dressed with work boots, plus being weighed mid-day (rather than first thing in the morning) could account for some or all of the 8 lbs. Try weighing yourself at home mid-day with clothes and work boots and see how much it differs from your morning weigh in with no clothes.
therecoveringfatchick: I hope you get “unstuck” soon!
kellyk: Congrats on the loss!
amberjune: Welcome aboard!!

yesterday's calories: 1600
yesterday's exercise: --
today's weigh-in: 80kg (176.2lbs)

pnkrckpixikat I'll apply for Oxford (very unlikely I get in); but I'm learning Spanish now so I'll apply for Madrid/Barcelona, I'm really into Brno (Czeck Republic) though. They offer awesome classes.
Also, Happy late birthday! Hope it was a good one
Have a great day everyone

Good morning everybody!!!
Hope all is well with you lovely ladies. Checking in for the day at 158.6. Yesterday was the same as well. I'm not sure why I'm sliding backwards. I've been on plan, so maybe its extra water I'm holding on to. Its also possible that I've been consuming too much dairy. I've been having a slice or two a day for the last few days. At any rate, I will kick up my water intake for the nexts few days to see what happens.
On the exercise front, my sister and I decided to switch it up last nighand went to zumba class. We also took her 3 girls; 13, 11, 5 years old. By the end of the class, the 5 year old was the only one of us with the same energy and enthusiasm that she had at the start of class. Lol. I, on the other hand had a terrible headache and thought I would pass out. Pretty safe to say that zumba's out for me. Back to the gym.
Have a great day all.
