Default Lazyman Marathon --- September

"A Lazyman Marathon is a full marathon (26.2 miles/42.2 km) but instead of taking a few hours you have a whole month to complete it. You can walk, run, skip, or jump the distance but you must use you feet. Biking doesn't count however. You may break up the total distance anyway you want: walk a mile every day for 26 of the days, run a couple miles every few days, cram the last week, however you want to do it. And feel free to go over if you find this to be easier than expected." - LovelyLeah - I borrowed the description of the Lazyman Marathon from Leah's first post on August's lazyman thread.

I really liked last month's Lazyman thread so I thought I would kick off this month's!

I do not have the time to go through and keep track of everyone's distances as Leah did last month, but I at least wanted a place for everyone to encourage each other and keep track of our own distances for the month. If anyone would like to take over the responsibility of tracking and highlighting names etc FEEL FREE

Good luck Everyone!

I'm in, and I can track/post the names and progress as well. My goal this month is to do the challenge elliptical free. I used it last month because I have bad knees and was just getting back into exercising. But I ended up actually walking way more than I thought, so this month I'll do it all with good old fashioned walking.

When you reach 25% (~6.5mi/10.46km) of your goal I will highlight you in Red
When you reach 50% (~13mi/20.92km) of your goal I will highlight you in Orange
When you reach 75% (~19.6/31.54km) of your goal I will highlight you in Pink
When you complete your goal I will highlight you in Green
I will highlight you in Blue for everything over a marathon.

I'm in for September, too!

I really feel that being part of the August challenge helped motivate me. And I was so proud of myself the day I made it to goal.

Count me in. September will hopefully bring perfect cool temperatures for getting in some miles. If not, there is always the treadmill.

THANK YOU Aclai! And welcome to everyone

I am not daring enough to say I will do it without the elliptical, I rarely use it, but if I tweak my knee or ankle I usually stick to it more for awhile.

seaurchin I'm sure you'll make it and go further this time!

staypuft lemme know how your dog takes it

4 miles for me today 4/26.2

Thanks for organizing!

Yay Punk, I'm glad you started this up for September! I really enjoyed last month's as it helped keep me motivated to get up and keep going. And thank you Aclai for saying you will keep track of things this month!

That all said, I am so signing up for this again! Happy walking, everyone!
