Aspirin helps alittle and has eased the discomfort!... NOTE: lack of eye brows (I had thin ones.. but in Dec I lost 2/3 of them - back end) is a sure sign of thyroid troubles... Here I thought it was because they went grey! LOLOLOL Thank you for you comfort my friends... I appreciate it and will let you know what happens! HUGS to you!!

Up a little bit, but I am thinking it's due to yesterday, went running and then spent a couple hours piling wood as hubby cut and ys split. Sore today, but it's a good hard work kind of sore!

Continue negotiating with those ninja monkeys, gals, we are seeing some movement at last. Me, wannaskipandlaugh and Cheeriloos (who is doing so good) at least!
Sw 149.6 lbs
Cw 148.6 lbs

Here is a wrench to throw to your ninja monkey? I drank green tea yesterday which seemed to have a great diuretic effect. I prepared a big pot around 1 PM and drank some of it hot, then added the rest to my water. If you have some fresh mint leaves, the two of them together are delish.
So, down 1.4 lbs since yesterday and .2 lbs since my pre-hiking weight(on August 10th). I asked the question in my accountability thread, but I wanted to know what you gals thought about it. What counts as a whoosh? Does it need to be an unmitigated loss (like below the lowest weight since the diet started) or any sizable downward movement on the scale counts?
Tuscany - Thanks so much for your input. Now that you say it, I have been taking Advil since the hike and then Anaprox (for my periods) which is like Advil on steroids. (Same family.)
I do not know if these drugs are associated with weight gain or stalled weight loss, but since the hike, I was definitely doing water retention so it's the eternal conundrum : what comes first? The chicken or the egg kinda thing?
Good day, everyone!

Matisse I had green tea yesterday too, maybe thats why I was so thirsty last night. I drank lots of water and felt like I hadn't had water in days.

Ha, strange cheeriloos! Tea is supposed to count towards water, unlike coffee, but I guess that getting rid of water through diuretic properties makes you thirsty too. I was also thirsty.
Just read this : http://bembu.com/benefits-of-green-tea
I wonder why I waited so long to add it to my rountine. My house is full of great teas that I rarely, if ever, prepare. I do not own a kettle at the moment and I wonder if I will invest in a fancy kettle with variable temperature like these. Tea afficianodos swear by them.

Wow Matisse great find! I bought it because, once I read in a magazine to drink 5 or 6 cups per day and it would have a weight loss effect,I rarely remember to drink mine too! The kettle is a great idea, but what would one need variable temperatures?

Because different teas have different brewing temperature. This seems like a
good primer. For example, hotter temperatures tend to make the tea more bitter. There is a whole art to tea which we are not much aware of in North America. My botanical garden (It's ten walking minutes away) has Japanese tea ceremonies sessions. I should attend.

Hey ladies
I will not bother you with complaining about my plateau. But I will say this-- Not Impressed!!!
Matisse: green tea makes me happy- I have lemon verbena and mint in my herd garden I often add to it. I recently started putting it in my green smoothies in lieu of water- yummy
Motherm: chopping and piling wood is the best workout ever- on top of that its a great feeling to know you are not only getting a workout but doing something beneficial for your home as well!
