No change for me this morning, although I can hardly complain...at least my recent losses seem to be sticking.

Aug 1: 157.25
Aug 2: 156.75 (-0.50)
Aug 3: 156.00 (-0.75)
Aug 4: 155.25 (-0.75)
Aug 5: 154.50 (-0.75)
Aug 6: 154.50 (0.00)

GW: 149.00

Turtle: Fingers crossed for the "169.x"! You're SO close...it will be here VERY soon. And, of course, as soon as you get there, you'll be wanting to see the "15x".

Lene: No worries about spelling or typos…it's only diet and exercise that count here. Hope the scales are kind to you soon, despite TOM.

Pixi: BOO scale BOO...but, you're right, when we start a new workout our bodies do retain more water to help to repair the little tears we've placed in our muscles. Those are all good things. Good luck with your job search.

Leah: Congratulations on the job!! Fine Arts & Psychology leading to Art Therapy…what a fascinating choice. Way to go on the recent loss.

GardenerJoy: Interesting philosophy on the kg, and you're right, it's not good to get too hung up on the numbers.

Jacqui: You're hanging steady…that's a great result while on vacation.

junebug: Not to worry, your recent gain will soon reverse. I know what you mean. I also try to do too much at times, which is when I forget about eating properly and exercising…no more of that for me either.

GordonGirl: Congrats on the loss. You'll be in the 150's very soon!

bg124: Hope today is better than yesterday! Nice to see your weight loss is sticking.

TrayTeam: Better luck next weekend!

Good morning everyone! It is going to be a great day! I had so much fun watching the scale staggering in the 40s before it landed.

Congrats Leah on getting the job! I'm sure you'll enjoy the joy of the season as you personalize ornaments that people will give as gifts and keep forever.

Tuscany about time you maintained. I was beginning to think you were just going to never stop losing. Now your body will have a day to adjust before things start moving again. You are doing fantastic!!!

Great job Sum!

Woohoo Turtle! Into the 60s. I know you are so stoked!

Good luck with the job interviews Pixi!

Aug 5- 172.5 (-.3)
Aug 6- 171.9 (-.6)

Bg, Congrats on the 1/2lb!! It's very exciting to see such a big loss

Tuscany, you grew up in England? My grandmother was a war bride from Luton. She passed recently but I was crazy about her. Did you grow up drinking tea? My entire family including my Mom, uncles, brothers, myself and even my kids have tea time. I was my grandmother's namesake and mini me and I definitely have an English heart. Sorry I digressed! I'm glad your numbers are sticking! I think upping the exercise gave your body the little shake up it needed. I'm so proud of you!!

Turtle, Wahoo on the 60's!! I'm hoping to join you soon!

Sum, yay on the loss!

Leah, Congratulations on getting the job and having the scale moving the right way!!!

Jacqui, Glad you are having a wonderful time and behaving yourself on your trip! Don't let Mother N. ruin your fun

Pick, wishing you the best of luck on your interviews this week!

Joy, I love the thought of being disengaged from the numbers on the scale, switching to kg is brilliant!

Tray, I think Jacqui gave you great advice about planning your weekends better. I spent the last couple of months eating well during the week and poorly on the weekends. It didn't get me anywhere! The month is young, onward and upward (unless you're the number on the scale) Good Luck!!

Have a great day!!!

Tuscany it just needs to catch it's breath, hooray for holding steady!

Sum38 you are doing great!

Turtle congrats! a new decade!

BG mine jumps around before settling to and it is also digital, I was having the same excitement, it seemed to be considering 249 but not quite yet! maybe tomorrow for both of us!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! I'm trying to figure out what to wear since most of my clothes don't fit since the regain and the couple things I bought are most definitely NOT interview attire lol I may just run up to target and get some cheap black slacks to solve the dilemma, a pair of DH's old slacks fit me, but don't look very good at all... on the other hand, DH just started his new job and won't get paid until the 16th blegh idk lol

8/2: 250.6

New low for the month! Woohoo!

SW: 79.6kgs
CW: 79
GW: 78

LovelyLeah: congrats on the job! Sounds like fun. Some years, I can get my Christmas mojo moving in October (those are the years I get Christmas shopping done really early). August would be early, even for me, but I could probably summon it if I got paid to!

pixikat: good luck on your interviews! Black slacks in various sizes is how I coped with my changing weight when I was losing. They can look professional or dressy depending on the shirt / jacket / accessories.

Gardener For years I've had jobs where black slacks were part of the uniform, so since I haven't worked since Dec most of my black slacks got thrown out (the ones that were too big in the 220s) or are now waaaay too small since regaining close to 50lbs. I bought lots of jeans and shorts instead since I no longer HAD to wear them. I have one pair of 18s that i need another inch before they close :s lol so I just ran to Ross and picked up a pair for $12.

A quarter pounder day for me!

Aug 1: 157.25
Aug 2: 156.75 (-0.50)
Aug 3: 156.00 (-0.75)
Aug 4: 155.25 (-0.75)
Aug 5: 154.50 (-0.75)
Aug 6: 154.50 (0.00)
Aug 7: 154.25 (-0.25)

GW: 149.00

Turtle: You made it to the 160's!!!! Way to go Greyhound!!! The carrot and I are dancing and my fingers are again crossed in hopes that it sticks.

Lene: You're again moving in the right direction! Yes, I was born in England. I was almost a teenager before we came to Canada. But, unlike the rest of my family, I detest tea . I still love England and I'm typically there once a year, because my daughter now lives there. She's doing her PhD at Oxford. I will be going to visit her next month. I'd really like to make some progress on the diet front in August, so I can have a bit of a cushion in September when I'm over in Europe.

bg124: Another good loss…look out 240's…any day now!

pixi: I'm glad the scales moved for you…black slacks are a good choice. I hope the campus interview went well.

junebug: You'll be in the 140's before you know it.

GardenerJoy, Leah, BleuMaus, TrayTeam, wolfgirl, Sum: Wow...everyone's losing this month...way to go!
