Joy, your math is right for me, thanks! And congrats on your loss!
Lene, That's just a little water weight, especially since you stayed within your calorie allowance. Congrats on the losing weight comment!
Yay, bg! That is fantastic!
Congrats Tuscany! And I will try to be good starting tomorrow, lol! (Today's my cheat day. I'm allowed to be bad.)
Woohoo, Pixikat, on another drop!
Turtle, I know it's no fun to have to be patient, but you are doing a great job! Hopefully, you'll see a drop soon.
Good luck on your renewed effort, Wolfgirl! :
Hiya, to ALL joining the challenge!
So today I lost another lb! However, today was my 10-hour travel day to VA. Beach and my allowed cheat day, so I don't know if I am going to go looking for a scale tomorrow, lol! I might give it a day or two. I don't even know if this hotel has a scale in the exercise room, but I'm thinking it should. I didn't go crazy eating, but compared to what I have been eating, it sure felt like it. And the usually forbidden foods (carbs) fill me up so quickly to the point I feel stuffed to the gills! I fully expect to weigh more tomorrow, but then the diet says that's what happens and not to sweat it because in the long run, you keep losing. Worked last week, but I feel like I ate more today, so we'll see. It should be my TOM but I'm 52 and it skips every once in a while and so far it hasn't happened. I'm grateful for that being on vacation, but it does make me feel bloated. Anyway, I'm happy to have lost the lb today! That makes 10!
Who would have thought that a NSV could be so frustrating. I have a potential job interview tomorrow so I went to try on my usual interview outfit and my skirt was huge on me. A good 4 or 5 inches too large around the waist. There was a moment of "woo-hoo!" and "crap!!" I had to tear apart the house to find enough safety pins to make it both fit and look good. Luckily the way the blouse is designed it's pretty forgiving.

I didn't do too well in July. I was still out of work and put on 5lbs in the first half of the month, I got a job and ended up losing weight the second half resulting in losing 2lbs overall for the month. Here's to a better August.
Start Weight = 154lbs
Current Weight = 152lbs (11th Aug)
End Weight =
Goal Weight = 148lbs - this will move me from obese to overweight BMI
I really like the way August is shaping up. I said goodbye to another 0.75 lbs today, so I've now lost 2 lbs since Aug 1...yippee!
Aug 1: 157.25
Aug 2: 156.75 (-0.50)
Aug 3: 156.00 (-0.75)
Aug 4: 155.25 (-0.75)
GW: 149.00
Turtle: Boo, scales, boo! I'm sorry to see they're not being kinder to you. I know that no change beats a gain, but I also know how frustrating it can be when you keep seeing no change. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed so that, when you step on today, the number goes down, down, down...
Lene: Good luck with your weigh-in today too.
GardenerJoy: Yeah for the scales going in the right direction!
Pixi: Soooo close to the next decade…keep up the good work!
Jacqui: Sounds like you're having fun. Congrats on the 10 lbs…I hope it sticks while you're away.
Leah: Well, that's good news and bad news with the skirt, but at least you've managed to fix things. Good luck on the interview!
bg124: I hear you on the importance of the next decade. I too can't wait to see the 140's...I was in the 150's about 4 years ago, but I haven't seen the 140's for at least 20 years. It will be great to meet them again.
wolfgirl: At least you know what you did wrong AND the scales were kind by not showing a gain.
cincorn: Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed your vacation. I also hope you've now fully recovered from your recent hospital stay.
Sum: Nice to see you back in this challenge. I hope August is kinder to you than July was.
Yeah, movement! One more day of the exact same weight and I might think there was something wrong with the scale. But then again I think there is something wrong with the scale about 4 times a month.
SW (July 31): 172
GW: 165
August 1: 171
August 2: 171
August 3: 171
August 4: 170.2
Tuscany - awesome job on the scales, 2 lbs down in 4 days! I might have you permanently keep your fingers crossed, it could be considered some sort of workout.
Lovely - good luck on the interview 5 inches in the waist is awesome
Jacqui - great job trying to stay on plan on vacation. I have a terrible time with thinking vacation is time off from EVERYTHING.
Lisa - moving BMI categories is a great motivation. I'm sure you'll have a better August, and two pounds down in a month in July is still great. Plus it was at the end of the month, so your mindset is already in weight loss mode.
Sum - great job with the start of the month!
Pixi - thanks for pointing out the recipe section, I didn't know it was there. I can't wait to get some good recipes. This month I'm trying to make 2 new healthy meals a week. I made some baked tofu the other night.
bg - It definitely looks like that weight is sticking! I have a vacation coming up in September, really nervous about it.
wolfgirl - one day won't hurt you, but not getting back on plan will. Awesome job with the 1 lb loss and the resolve to stick with it
cincorn - welcome
faye - Birthdays are a great motivation for me. It definitely looks like the scale is consistently moving down.
june - welcome back! You did great with us in July
Congrats Lovely on the interview and especially on the skirt!
Jacqui have a great time in VA Beach and if you can't find a scale don't sweat it too much, just stay OP and when you get back you can see your weight then.
Tuscany 2 lbs in 2 days, go you!
Today 251.4 is back haunting my doorstep, hopefully it goes away soon lol. I was OP yesterday, but had extra sodium and didnt drink my normal amounts of water so I'm sure I'll be back down tomorrow or Tuesday.
sw:251.4
cw:251.4
gw:241.4
