Also, the support was there if I had a day of eating poorly or the scale hated me. Good luck to everyone! Let's embrace this clean slate and fresh start.
Great advice, Lene! Let's all rock this thread!

For those of you who don't know what meringue cookies are and you like to have sweets, take a look at them! LOW calorie and easy to make!! All they are is egg whites and sugar (or sugar substitute). I love these things!!

I used to not be able to eat meringue, my body did not like egg whites by themselves, but now i eat egg beaters all the time so I wonder if I would like it, can you use egg beaters to make them? or do you need the pure egg?

I use 9 tbsp of egg beaters and 1/2 cup sugar gives me like 3 dozen. You just have to beat them longer to get them where they need to be. I make them in all these awesome colors!!

Good Morning!

Turtle: I see you've started off like a greyhound again. Good for you. Keep it going! And your earlier prediction came true: I saw a 6 this morning...yeah!

Gardenerjoy: Sorry to hear you got a nasty surprise when you stepped on the scales, but 5.5 lbs is not the end of the world and you'll be able to quickly nip it in the bud with your newly-formed good habits.

Wolfgirl: Nice way to start August!

seaurchin: Getting to wedding weight by your anniversary is a wonderful goal. I wish you luck.

Lene and others: Good luck with your weigh-ins today (or when you do them next).

I saw a half pound loss this morning, which was a good way to start the day:

Aug 1: 157.25
Aug 2: 156.75 (-0.5)

GW: 149.00

Start weight- 171.1
Goal weight- 165

Aug 1- 171.1
Aug 2- 171.2 (+.1) TOM

Good morning everyone!

My TOM just started and I need to note that on my weight progress for my own reference. Those fluctuating hormones and physiological changes really mess with my weight so I am trying to keep track of what happens. Sorry if it's too much info!

Tuscany and Pnkrckpixikat, it was a live Zumba class and yes I was completely uncoordinated! LOL! I took my daughters and my teenage nieces with me and we had a great time!

Pnkrckpixikat, from this moment on you will be shortened to Pixikat for me. Are you okay with that? I like to write personals and there's only so many hours in the day.

Bleumaus, the meringues look yummy! Thanks for sharing!

Joy, you made wonderful changes last month. Thanks again for starting a new thread and keeping us on our toes!

Turtle, nice whoosh! Hopefully, you and I will both have the same stats at the end of this month too!

Jacqui, hi!

Welcome newbies!

Off to work I go...

wolfgirl - awesome start ! Who cares if its water weight, as long as it stays off (and you stay hydrated!!)

Tuscany - You're consistant dropping amazes me, even at .25, or rather .5 today!

Lene - Zumba sounds so fun, I may have to look around at different gyms. I have to be honest; I'm slightly intimidated by them. Which is really absurd because I worked in one in college.

Holding at 171

SW (July 31): 172
GW: 165

August 1: 171
August 2: 171

A tad discouraging that my second daily-in is UP instead of DOWN. I'm reminding myself that the scale number is simply data. In this case, the data may be saying nothing more profound than "soy sauce is salty."

We have a great group! Good luck, everyone!

I'll compile our list tonight or tomorrow morning, so there's still time to join and be on the initial list.
