I stepped on the scale this morning out of curiosity... even tho i said i wasnt goi g to weigh in till monday, but to my plesant suprise it said 176.2!!!!!! Holy crap. Today is a sort of cheat day. I had a mound of crab legs and lobster bisque and some bread along witg two cups of blueberries. Not to bad but i can tell you from all the salt i am going to be sooooo bloated tomorrow. It was worth it

Thanks pixikat! I am looking forward to getting into Onederland and even more on hitting 196, so I will no longer be in the "obese" range!

Hang in there Tray! Water weight doesn't count, lol!

I did not weigh myself today. We got up really early to travel (I'm back home now) and the exercise room with the scale was locked at that time. I am going to try to stay off the scale tomorrow since today is cheat day, but I find it really hard to keep away from the scale. It never upsets me if it reads more or stays the same since I figure it is all a part of the journey downward, so I don't know what the big deal is, why I feel so compelled to know my daily weight, but I can't seem to stay away from that dang little numbered thing, lol!

I just had to share: I'm lying on the couch trying to type on 3FC, but my cat, Ichabod, really missed me while I was on vacation, and he's making it a little difficult, lol!

A 0.5 lb loss this morning...hehe. Pixi, I think you hit the nail on the head. I think this is a case of my past efforts finally showing up on the scales. My weight loss in the latter part of July was extremely slow and I'm finally seeing the benefits. Three weeks ago, I weighed 158.5 lbs. So, I've lost 5.75 lbs in 3 weeks, which is a bit less than 2 lbs a week. It's just that virtually all that loss has shown up in August and virtually none appeared in July, even though I've being following the same diet plan. I guess the moral of the story is you just have to keep plugging away...the scales will eventually co-operate.

Turtle: Maintaining when you have to eat out twice is a pretty good result! I've heard of water with lemon, but I've never tried it.

Jacqui: I'm the same as you. I don't get upset if the scale stays the same or goes up, but I've got to step on it every morning! Welcome home and I'm glad you had a fun vacation. Ichabod is a sweetie! I have two furbabies...they're a lot of fun.

Well I seem to be moving in the right direction. The water with lemon was really good. I grabbed a couple basil leaves from my garden and added them with the lemon into a mason jar. It looked so pretty and was yummy. I might incorporate it into my routine.

Huh. I was sure I posted yesterday, but I guess not.

Now, I'm starting to get concerned about the wrong way the scale is moving. It wouldn't surprise me if my current plan is too generous to meet my current goals, but since I lost weight at the beginning of the month, I was hopeful. I'm going to give it the weekend, but if I don't get the whoosh I expected this morning, I'll tweak something on Monday.

We ate out last night again. It...wasnt great calorie wise or taste wise. but it was within matenence so not too awful in the end caloriewise at least.

I forgot to weigh before my run so the number is a bit off due to a 2 mile run and 2 bottles of water. I am logging just to keep up the habit.

Well, I didn't do so badly for cheat day yesterday. Scale is showing only 1 lb up, so I'll take it! Hope to drop into the 100's soon!

We made it through/from California, through Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and finally to Wyoming to see family! So Happy! And over this trip stayed true to my diet! I've also decided to get my learners permit! Whoo!

I weighed myself on my grandpas doctor scale after my mom weighed to see if it was accurate-it was she didn't lose because she went off her diet on this journey. I got on..... OMG I weighed about 172.4!!! At night!!! And I'm a bit bloated from French fries!!! (it was one medium fry and I'm on a road trip stuck with few choices) Cant wait for morning!
