Smile Onederland by September 17th

Hi! I am creating this challenge so that I have a specific goal set to reach by my Birthday this year. If anyone wants to join in to reach onederland by September 17th then join away! I am hoping to see some similar goals and share stories of how we got where we are and how we are changing our lifestyles to be more healthy as well as be each others support to reach this and other goals in our weight loss journeys.

I started my journey...again...about a month ago and have been going strong since, staying on plan with my food and about a week and a half ago adding some workouts. I know I didn't get this heavy overnight so I am trying to remind myself every day that I won't get rid of all the extra weight overnight either. 270 to 170 is my overall weight loss goal but living a healthier life is my ultimate goal.

Good luck on your journey!

I'll give it a shot! Hopefully I can get under 200 before that but this will give me a good goal date to work toward!

Way to go soontobeskinny! I am not liking the scale right now, but I think I am losing inches... hopefully Sundays weigh in will be a little better.

Nothing but rain here makes it a little more difficult to get my workouts in...at least the cardio part...makes me miss California even more though, at least summer was summer there not like these wet, humid things they call summer here in Florida.

Staying on plan with my food...changed things up a little to get rid of a few unnecessary carbs and hoping that will help tilt the scale in my favor.

Hope you are all having a wonderful week!

What programs or lifestyle changes are you all doing to help reach your goals?

I don't really follow a "plan" but do low carb and try to keep my daily calories around 1200. I will play around with those if this month isn't as successful as I would like it to be. For exercise I just started the couch to 5k (yesterday) and a few lower body and ab challenges.

Keeping all junk foods out of the house has been the most difficult because the hubby is always bringing them home! Keeping my hands off the junk food has been no problem...so far...so every time I see them I throw them out!

I'm down to 220.6! Getting closer!

I just count calories (most of the time... I went to a friend's house for dinner the other night and couldnt really count anything but it was ok... I don't want to miss out on life because I'm worried about calories!!) and just exercise and it seems to work well for me. I try to eat mostly healthy things but also allow myself cheat days (which I need to not do as many!).

Is there anyway that you can ask your husband to not buy it? I know it has helped me now that my husband is eating healthy too. We try to help each other and keep from buying stuff. It doesnt always work though!

I calorie count and try to stay pretty balanced on My fitness pal. I also like to get 90 minutes of exercise a day divided up.

Thanks for sharing Lizyg and soontobeskinnyCarma! I do ask him not to bring it home and he has gotten better but still needs a bit of work. It is so much easier to follow a healthier lifestyle when all the people in your home are on board.

Scale will not move... Writing down all my food, exercising regularly but the weight will not come off.
