so after thursdays 188.8, i saw 185 this morning.

really water? really?

im hoping to see 183 by thursday! i have no major outings planned, so fingers crossed!

you know what's funny? weight loss itself isn't hard. like, weighloss in a bubble without outside forces. but weightloss balanced with life and the ability to say "no" - that's hard.

Sofie, you are so right about weight loss in a bubble! Take away outside influences like family, friends, work, celebrations, and commercials on tv, and it would definitely be a lot simpler. I guess the trick is to get to that peaceful place in our own minds whenever we need to.

Hiya ladies -- thanks so much for all the kinda comments. It has been a great NSV week to say the least! Even better as I'm down to 185 today, hee hee. I love non-plateau times during weight loss!!!!

seize the day -- water weight!!! I always gained 4-5 pounds during TOM. So hopefully when yours passes, you should see that drop!

amandie -- Boy, you are really teetering on that edge, lol. You are so close to the 150s!

pnkrckpixikat -- you are complaining about losing weight? LMAO. You don't hear that very often (at all?) on here, . Bank it, and next week will look awesome on the chart!

SunnyMathChick -- there is no way you gained 7-8 pounds! It has to be water weight and will go away soon. Way to stay OP during your vacation!

suzukigurl -- Yay!!!! I'll use the exclamation point with you Being past 250 was such a huge mark for me...congrats and way to go!!!

forkeeps exactly you're right about the peaceful place. I also feel like, eating right is mandatory- in a sense of you need to know how much you need in a day and if you want to eat more and maintain your weight, you need to exercise more. that being said- you can not out exercise poor eating habits, so it's a matter of balance.

suzukigurl congrats on being out of the 250s!!!!!! Feel free to use ALL of the exclamations!!!!!

jessicado22 your post hike photo is amazing. you look beautiful, happy, and full of life!

------
I ran 7k, and then rollerbladed 22k.
Ya, you read that right. It happened.

You know what else I did? I got to eat back a whole truck load of calories. 2200 calories (I usually stick to 1550-1800). But I just realized that I am happiest eating about 2200 calories. I do have binge eating tendencies, and 2200 is where I usually end up/stop myself when I "overeat". Conclusion. To lose weight I must be burning about 2700+ a day, preferably closer to 3000. I can do that. I think?

Pretty excited to weigh in, even though I know there's going to be a truckload of waterweight.

I have a little bribe "reward" for myself when I get back to 180. And well, I'd really like to see 180 sooner rather then later. haha

Joining late! 7-11 was my first day on Wonderslim, and I usually lurk over in that thread, but more motivation can only help! My weigh-ins are on Thursday. Good luck to everyone this week!

I've never heard of wonderslim, you will have to update us on how well it works Welcome to the challenge!

Thanks to those of you that helped reinforce the water-weight stance. I think that it is just water weight, hopefully I will be back to my normal size, and making progress by this Thursday's weigh in!

2 pounds down this week!!

Plus the other night I managed to jog two full laps around the track at my gym without walking/stopping. Pretty sure that's the first time in my life I've managed that! I celebrated by climbing many flights of stairs for that workout!

I'm fashionably late to the party, but I'm in. My wife and I have a Miami vacation right before Halloween so I need all of the motivation I can get. I'm currently 178lbs and looking to be around 165lbs with some visible abs by then. Right now I'm just pudgy and blah lol.

Welcome Daddy2k9. Are you using any specific diet/fitness plan to meet your goal?

I have been adjusting my diet to include more carbs (was doing low-carb) and I am having trouble adding carbs without going carb-crazy... this is leading to a fairly dramatic increase... I know some is water weight from TOM, but still.... What diet/fitness programs have worked for all of you?

Just added my name to the list, I am officially in!
I really need this thread to help keep me on track once school starts and I find my exercise time going way down.
Here's hoping that a concrete goal will keep me more motivated

I know I'm joining late, but I want to slim down and look great by Halloween. I know my goal is crazy, but at the rate I've managed to lose weight thus far, I have hope!
