  • I've got four small habits going well and it's making a difference! I need a couple of more to really feel back to my normal, but I'm going to give these another day or two:
    • Eat only in my eating places (that is, not in the car and not standing up in the kitchen)
    • Eat only foods that serve me well (for example, white bread does nothing for me but trigger cravings for more white bread)
    • Eat only at my eating times (three meals and one or two snacks, not grazing throughout the day)
    • Eat only what I initially serve myself (I don’t need seconds or to invent extra courses while I’m eating)
  • Thanks to Lene and PositiveAttitude for the encouragement! And good for you Lene...behaving yourself at the restaurant. The scales went up this morning, despite my having behaved myself yesterday. Better luck tomorrow (I hope)!

    Challenging myself to get 15000 steps before my head hits the pillow tonight. It's almost 4pm and I have 10600 steps and haven't worked out yet so it looks promising.

    Gardenerjoy, looks like you are getting a good handle on those eating habits. I especially like the portion control and saying no to seconds.

    I need to hit the grocery store sometime and pick up some more produce. I also need to clean the house, make dinner, pick up dd from friends, take ds to his football workouts and workout myself yet today too. Sometimes a day off of work doesn't really feel like a day off

  • Thanks, PositiveAttitude. Great progress on your part and I'm sure you'll meet your goal by August. Not to worry, I ignore the minor ups and downs of my daily weigh-ins. I just complain 'cause I like to complain.

    A decent loss this morning, although I sort of expected a loss given that I walked over 13 km yesterday and didn't eat much. That wasn't planned...just the way the day turned out. I had hoped to see a "15" at the front of the number, but I have to wait a little longer for that. Soon, soon...
