I'd like to weigh 373 by Valentine's Day which would be a 7 pound weight loss. Actually, I'd be thrilled with that and over the moon if I lost more!

okay stratch the 163.50 lol. Although I weighed that at the gym yesterday morning, I didn't eat as many calories leading up to that morning. This morning I was 165.25 lbs so I'm going to go with that (I ate 1450 calories yesterday and only 978 calories the day before the gym assessment).

Hi night - for me, it's about eating very low carb (only a 1/2 serving of actual starch per day) and at least 6 cups of veggies per day, along with some protein. I feel better, want to do more, and am less hungry.

Also, I exercise regularly now (for the first time in my life) - I ran a 5k on Saturday, and am studying to be a yoga teacher.

I started out exactly where you were (at 270) and if I can do it, so can you!

I'm back!
I got on the scale this am and I am 151.6.
So after two weeks of bad eating I am up 5 pounds but better than the 8 pounds I saw previously. Does this mean I gained 8 pounds in a week and lost three the next week, or did I gain 5 the first plus 3 was bloating and the second week I maintained? No idea.

Looking forward to dropping the 5 to get back to 146!

dcapulet- 5k, wow....have never been able to think running even though I know it's good for you...I feel though like I've seen you before in my previous 3fc life...when I as smaller lol.... been on a while? I'm still working toward better eating, minor improvement. Trying to make a habit out of exercise again. Ahhh Veggies

NightAngel - I'm with you. I never thought about running until I got to grad school in 2008. I was at my highest, and ALL of my classmates were fit. One I became really close to was into running, and I ended up doing my first 5k at about 263 lbs. It was so hard to train - but I finished. It was the best feeling.

After that I stopped running until August 2012 -I just didn't have the desire. But then I realized it was a way my daughter and I could bond in a healthly way (she's 8) and we've been on ever since. Last week was my second 5k, and in April my husband, my two kids and I are running our first family 5k. It took a while, but I'm hooked!

This week - TOM is creeping.

Night Angel - I missed this the first time - I've been on and off from 3fc since 2006- about 7 years now! I've struggled with weight for a long time, but I think I might have found somewhat of a balance now.

Default Evening chickies...

dcapulet- yes I thought I had seen you before. Your story is inspiring... yes my daughter is 8 also and she could use some fitness according to the doctors so we try to do more. Also, looks like you're getting close on your goal, nice job!

omega- getting close! to quot Dori: "just keep swimming, swimming, swimming...lol

As for me, nothing good I'm afraid. We've had a lot of people lately and I'm compelled to serve noddle type dishes and lots of starch to feed everyone.... and starch is a weakness...I don't think I've made any progress. To another day I suppose...

I hate January.
I did so much better during the nov-dec holidays than I did this month.
The good news is it will soon be February.

This week and next week I'm going to stay away from coffee, breads, and sweets. And need to do better lunch planning so I can spend less money and calories.
