Kitkatt: That is awesome! Keep it up (o:

Bethann: How scary, glad your son is ok. Depending on your son's school, he might not want a car for the first couple of years. My daughter went all through college without a car. We had to make extra trips of course to pick her up, but it was a cheaper alternative than her paying parking fees since she was living in the dorms.

Kim: I think periods of maintenance are a good thing sometimes. From what my doc tells me, they reset your body's set-weight, so that if you bounce up, you are less likely to go all the way up to your highest weight and beyond.

Since starting this challenge, I have started a new job (which is within walking distance of my house so I am walking an extra 30-40 minutes each day. I went on vacation for a week and had a great time cabin camping with hubby and our furkids. I am now working hard to loose as much weight as I can in the next month before I go back into another maintenance period.

Have a great on program week everybody!

Thanks for the support everyone! I know I was super excited with the loss that I had!!

Zoesmom- I know you are right. I have to keep reminding myself that this is going to take time. That you so much for your help.

My newest problem is sweating. I dont sweat, and I need to. It is usually around 93 to 96 degrees here without heat index and humidity. I need to sweat to help me cool off, but my body just wont do it. And I and drinking only water and skim milk. I drink a minimum of 32 oz a day and sometime up to 49 oz. it is still a struggle to get all my water in....but still surely I should sweat some!

Any ideas??

Third bellydancing class...and I am going to agree on taking part on the gym's festival in November. Crazy? Probably, especially considering it implies a proper costume! (although since the women taking part are from age 8 to 60, it won't be nothing too revealing).

I ended up deciding in favour of it because I am quite motivated with the class (more than with any other class), and it turns out I am much better than expected! Despite the fact I am on my third class on started several months behind the rest, I am doing quite well. Of course, I need to work a lot and practice, but it's really fun (not to mention I am getting a lot of encouragement from my boyfriend ). Having this goal to look up to will definitely shake my laziness a bit

About my diet...I have been more or less keeping in plan, but these days I am maintaining, seeing as how I am having the monthly "hormones gone bonkers" time we all love...

Eldest daughter's 15th birthday today. She has requested Pizza Hut and cheesecake...luckily neither one is hard for me to take a little of and be happy. Already did my Firm Express workout and plan to do a quick walk later. Hard to believe she'll be driving in a year!

I'd like to join.
I had started maintenance about a year ago at 138 (original goal 135). I was content with my weight (still wanted to drop more though so I could wear shorts, I'm very bottom heavy, my thighs can't even fit into shorts that fit my waist sometimes). I gained and stayed at 143 for the majority of time since then. Recently however due to being ill for weeks and then being depressed, I am now 150. I am finding it difficult to jump back into "losing" mode after so long and am in need of motivation. I found motivation here during my original 80lbs lost and thought I'd come back.

I'll weigh in on Sundays.

I'm not thrilled with the effect that beginning to exercise has had on my scale number. My legs and arms are beginning to look a bit less cellulite-y, though.

RVAscreenwriter I know how you feel. I've lost a whopping 1lb this month. Hard to get excited about that, even though I started running.

Went up .5 lbs from last week. Which is totally understandable even if it isn't desirable, given the amount of soda I've been drinking in the past few days. XD I think my mind's reaction to my mother's bad grocery shopping is to binge on them until they're gone to make sure it doesn't tempt me for too long. Bad, I know. I've been pretty good about everything else though, so I'm not that bothered this week.

Once I get my new work schedule, I'll be starting the 30 Day Shred. Just ordered it and I'm super pumped, so hopefully I'll see some results with that - even if not in lbs, than inches. Wish me luck!
