I went to see the movie Joyful Noise with a group from my Bible study. It was good, I'm a sucker for a happy ending! The music was fabulous with a mix of styles and genres.

Made my usual pizza tonight

Mandy, those must have been good drugs! glad you are feeling better!

Gettin, I am so happy its Friday!

hey ladies

the sickness had finally left the building! hubby and i are both doing much better. a little bit of a lingering cough for both of us, but generally in good spirits and good health.

lunch today was 1/4 rotisserie chicken, a pineapple fruit cup and a huge glass of water. then we went to the store and i finally got some jigsaw puzzles to work on! i put them together and frame them. i'm getting so many i should probably start selling them! i got a set with a bunch of pinkish purplish tropical pictures with dolphins and such. i think 12 puzzles, 4 of each size (100pc, 300pc and 500pc) as well as a wildlife puzzle at 750 pieces that's a fox laying on a log in a pond, and a thomas kincaide cottage painting at 1000 pieces. that'll keep me busy for a bit

(anybody want to buy a framed jigsaw puzzle?! lol)

thanks ladies!

lots of fruits and veggies for me today. gotta earn my team some points for the wellness initiative! (30 points if we eat all our fruits and veggies for the day. same as doing an hour of cardio!) we're kinda slackin in that department. so breakfast is gonna be heavy on the fruits. i think a banana, an orange, a tropical fruit cup and some yogurt. i've got raw carrots and broccoli to snack on later. and i'll do a couple canned veggies and a salad with the pork chops. yay points!

ya'll have a good day. i've got another puzzle callin my name.

Mon Feb 13
B= banana, 1c milk, vits, 1 c cereal
L= 2 slices veggie pizza, chips and salsa
D= Tomato & Lentil soup, few triscuits
S= ice cream, banana
E= 60min cardio

I've been cooking vegatarian meals since Sun night. Hubby came home today, looked in the soup pot, and sheepishly asked 'Can we have meat tomorrow?" Poor Hubby, I think he thought we were never going to eat meat again, LOL, I did offer to defrost some chicken strips or meatballs for him, but after he tasted the soup he was okay. Yay!

Mandy, Pork chops sounds good.

the chops were delish. i added some southwestern seasoning from tastefully simple to the panko breading and it really added a lovely bit of flavor. i saved the carrots from this afternoon and made them with dinner, put a honey/cinnamon glaze on them. and then my latest favorite side dish: sauteed green beans with onion slivers and minced garlic. SO GOOD. if you like onions MFP says i've consumed 1400 calories today (a little more than the 1200 i'd planned on... stupid kit kats!) but it also says i've burned 830 on the day for a net consumption of 570. i'll probably eat something small before bed, just so i'm not ravenous in the middle of the night.

also: walking back from our evening workout tonight, one of the campus services guys stopped us and asked us "which one of ya'll is the health nut? you guys are really consistent. that's really great. keep it up." never thought i'd be recognized as someone who works out regularly. best compliment from a stranger, ever.

(i am so excited ya'll. you don't even know)

Hi Mandy & Penguin,

I hope you ladies have had a great Tuesday.

Mandy - I feel your excitement! Keep up the great work.

I've done good today with eating but I just need to force myself to do a workout today. It is cold and rainy here and all I wanna do is go home and crawl in bed. I have my sneakers in the car so I may stop off at the mall and do some walking there before going home.

Today I'm wearing a pair size 14 pants that was very tight when I wore them about a month ago. Today they are baggy on me. Even though the scale is only down about 5 pounds since I wore them, I've lost inches.

I hope we all have great results to report at the end of this month and hopefully by spring, we'll be a size smaller.

Have a great evening ladies.

Today's Journal
B: Bagel thin w/ 1 wedge of WW cheese spread, coffee, yogurt
L: Healthy Choice Cafe Steamer Pineapple Chicken, SF Pudding, coffee
S: SF jello, pretzels, orange, popcorn, peanuts too many snacks
D: Shrimp & salad, SF pudding w/dollop of FF Cool Whip
Exercise: Did Turbo Jam

i forgot to check in here earlier... but i can update you all, that i have lost another 3.1 pounds this week.

i decided to weigh in today instead of tomorrow because of tonight's dinner and dessert... i think i will have a higher number tomorrow, so i'm gonna skip it and weigh in next wednesday like usual.
