Gave into the chocolate. 28 m&ms to be exact but still stayed under my calories for the day. Super tired though from shoveling snow so I'm going to bed early.

Great job everyone!

Welcome ASalad! I use livestrong.com to track my calories, but there are several different sites you can use, myfitnesspal, sparkpeople, etc. Many have mobile apps that make it easy to track on yoru phone. On livestrong you tell them what you weigh and what you want to lose each week, 1 or 2 lbs, and it tells you how many calories you should have to meet that goal. I'm aiming for 1.5lbs a week and my daily amount is 1453. Just making better choices in the cafeteria is a great start! It's really surprising to see how fast the calories add up when you log everything. Glad to have you here with us!

Lambie, you actually counted out 28 M&M's? That's an accomplishment itself, before I would have polished off the whole bag and went searching for more! TOM hormones do crazy stuff to my cravings too.

Day 3/100 and TGIF! Was rewarded for a week OP with a 2.4 loss this morning! Stoked! It's crazy how the scale goes up before a loss.

LOL, NoMoreKnit. Yes I counted out 28 m&ms. It was half the smallest bag. Day 3 and I'm still feeling motivated. My mom just made us reservations for Ocean City, MD in August. So I have to be bathing suit ready by then.

Hey, I would like to join too. If that's OK with you. Gets kind of quiet in the 300+ threads sometimes.

No Rachael, go get your own thread!!! Of course you can! Rachael is my older sister (like how I mentioned OLDER), and coworker, (and best friend) who got us started on this weight loss endeavor back in September. We said then we would try for a year, and 4 months later we are both 30-40 lbs down!!

I'm hoping we can keep this thread active! I've been trying hard to get new recruits

Tyla, WTG on scale movement, I know its even harder once you are at a low weight to get results!! Go You!!

Older and wiser, sis. Holy crapadoly man, we've lost a lot of weight in four months. Imagine what it's going to be like in September when we hit that year??!!

Lambie - Really impressed at counting the M&Ms. That's awesome.

tyla - woohoo for being POP & for your loss! WTG.

asalad - I track my calories on livestrong.com/myplate. Very easy. I like it. It is amazing how selective your memory can be when it comes to what you put in your mouth. I couldn't believe how many calories I was putting in my coffee before I started tracking. The easiest thing for me to change was to stop drinking my calories. I want to be able to eat em!! LOL

Rachaelm- welcome! It's cool that you and your sister are doing this together. My HW was 320 and it's been a long up and down battle over the past 5 years but it's totally worth it. I started again on September 4th while my husband was deployed. He's home now and it's a daily struggle to make myself a priority.

Tyla- great job!

NoMoreKnit- I hate thinking about the bathing suit too but now I have to. Seeing myself in bathing suit pics from Curacao this past summer is what got my butt in gear this time. I was lucky there was no one around with a harpoon gun.

Thanks Lambiechop! I love 3FC. It IS cool that we're doing this together. Our family is sooo food oriented, I'm glad we're on the same team for weight loss. Wow, you have lost a lot of weight! So, do you calorie count or what? And Curacao is where my husband and I honeymooned! Of course I hated all of the bathing suit pics from that trip too, I've weighed around 300for at least six years. I'm sick of it.

Yep. I calorie count. About 1200-1500 day depending on my activity. Very cool that you honeymooned in Curacao. We spent a week there and it was awesome (except for being a fat, sweaty mess ). It's weird when I think of my high weight. I've gone up and down so many times in between there and here and this time I have to stay down. I turned 27 in October and I want to be in the best shape of my life by 30.

Hey whatever it takes to keep you motivated. I turned 36 in December, and in September (when I decided to lose weight) I started thinking, you are closer to 40 than you are to 30, how long are you going to wait to DO something about this weight.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the tip about livestrong.com NoMoreKnit I'll check it out!!

Hey lambiechop, look on the bright side: shoveling snow burns A LOT of calories! Seriously!

I had a good workout today! I did cardio for an hour & 30 minutes of weights. I ate pretty healthy too! But I just had an early dinner (around 6) & I stay up pretty late... Im starting to get worried that Im going to have late night munchies and screw up my progress >_<
