Tabbycat here...

Three days with a 30 minute walk/jog each day brings me up to 355 minutes, I think.

Good morning ladies,

I'm ready for another great week of eating right and exercising. I'm still feeling very strong and committed. Usually by now, I would have slipped but this time I can honestly say that I am enjoying this journey. The scale was down .4 today to 209.0 so I'm hoping that I won't have anymore stalls for a while.

I hope you all have a great OP day!

I'll go ahead and start November's thread.

Gah!! I miss four days and I have to play major catch-up!

GettinFit ~ Super big congrats on breaking out of your 210 stall and getting to the single digit two hundreds! You will be outta there in no time!

workinmom ~ It sounds like you are doing great -- keep up the good work!

Kim ~ I hope it gets better for you and your family. You'll get your focus back.

Ruth ~ Sounds like you are doing really good, too!

April ~ Congrats on the loss! 4 pounds is awesome!

Tabbycat ~ Great job with the walking/jogging!

to anyone I may have missed. Things here are good. Back on the wagon after a weekend of a Halloween pub crawl and a hungover day yesterday that consisted of cookies and Chinese food. Oy. I'm flushing out my system with a ton of water today and lots of healthy eating for the week. Hope you all have a great Monday! Happy Halloween!

Hey all.

Kim - HANG IN THERE!!!! This too shall pass. It sounds incredibly hard but, hopefully, it will smooth out soon. I know what it's like to not sleep well and it stinks! It makes losing weight hard too. Try to hang on to your suprise for your hubby with your health goals!

Gettin - Awesome! You really broke through that stall! The scale keeps going down now. What do you think is key for getting or staying in the groove for you?

Ruth - I love soups this time of year and it's the easiest way for me to get in my veggies. It's amazing how much broth can fill you up, isn't it? Great job with the counting and jogging!

April - Four lbs is amazing! I hope to have a loss like that soon! Your Wii boxing is paying off!!

Emme - It's amazing how much a person misses sometimes even not coming here one day, isn't it? I can't wait till Halloween is over although it hasn't been too tempting to me as I'm so ready to really work on my eating!!!! Happy flushing! LOL

I'm about to start a personal 60 day challenge. I want to be OP as many days the rest of 2012 as possible and if I make them all, I'm getting myself a CUTE biking jersey (and not worrying about how much it costs!). I am not sure which program I want to follow as I keep thinking about the old WW CORE program so I decided to try that for a week, WW PP for a week and counting calories for a week and see which works best for me. I start tomorrow!

I'm also in the planning phase of my exercise program. I'm reading about biking on a trainer in the winter. So far, my goal is simply to work out 30 minutes a day at least 5 days a week. I know it will consist of biking, swimming and lifting but that's as far as I've gotten. Till I have my new program figured out, I'm going to alternate lifting days with cardio days.

Does anyone here use a free, online calorie counting site? My friend from church is using myfitnesspal.com. I might sign up but thought I'd ask here first.

Workinmon - The 60 day challenge is a great idea. It helped me to stick with my plan over the weekend as that was when I was having trouble staying on track. What has helped me this time as I'm looking at this more as a lifestyle change and I am working to be healther as I'm getting older. I am also not depriving myself of foods that I like. I feel that my stomach has shrunk and it doesn't take very much to fill me up. I just can't wait to make it to 199.9!!! I'm using My Plate by Livestrong to track as it also tracks sodium for me. I just last week loaded My Fitness Pal on my smartphone and plan on giving it a try.

Emme - Glad to hear you're back on track after your weekend. Hope you have a great week too.

Just a quick check in. I did fairly well over the weekend, but TOM came this morning along with a little weight. It looks like even if I lose the water weight tomorrow I still won't make my goal. But that's ok because it was a pretty lofty goal. 5lbs lost is still a great amount for me.
Hope everyone has a great day!

good morning ladies!

the bad news: i'm up at least 6 pounds from my last weigh in, but i'm pretty sure it's mostly water from 10 hours in the car friday and sunday, with lots of bad for me food in between. seriously it was a fast food/junk food-fest for the weekend. i guess that's what you get when you travel with a bunch of men. lol.

the good news is i had a great time, i'm more relaxed and happy than i have been in a while, and i've found my focus again. i'll only be weighing in once a week, but i've picked mondays so i don't go crazy on the weekends! i haven't stepped on the wii fit yet to weigh in. i'm kind of scared. i KNOW it's gonna yell at me! haha i'm afraid of an appliance. go figure. :P

ya'll have a great day and try not to eat too much candy tonight!

Ruth ~ Every pound lost is just that much closer to your "ultimate" goal, so don't sweat not hitting the 5 exact pounds. You are doing great!

Mandy ~ It's awesome that you found your focus again! I'm sure a lot of that weight is just water weight. It made me laugh about being scared of an appliance, lol!

I bought a bag of M&Ms at the gas station yesterday when my hubby was driving me around because I was so hungover (lol), and I just gave them to a friend at work. She came into my office and said she had a mad craving for chocolate, so I gave them to her. Chocolate and temptation avoided! It can be difficult for me to stick with eating well after having a day or two of not eating healthily. Today was pretty rough a few hours ago, but I'm really trying hard to stay focused.

Hubby and I got a stomach bug over the weekend. Add a double whammy with TTOM and I wasn't a happy Penguin!

Feeling better today. I got a lot of stuff done to make up for the weekend. Bread, laundry, clothes sorted for Goodwill, and random acts of cleaning and houseplant trimming. A few kids have come to the door but not as many as last year. I was good and didn't open the candy until after dinner but then kinda attacked it, LOL.

I will weigh tomorrow.
