Sarge - Do not read if you don't want your eyes to bleed.

This post has nothing to do with weight loss but hopefully Sarge will forgive me this one indiscretion. If not, I will gladly take whatever punishment is administered with pride.

I really wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the significance of this day. I live in Hawthorne Nevada, self proclaimed "Americas patriotic home". We are one of the few places in the US that has a week long celebration for Armed forces day in May. We have one of the biggest flags in the Us and we take our patriotism very seriously. Were a small town of around 4000 and when one of our soldiers came home in a box, the memorial was standing room only at our high school gym. When one of our own came home without legs he was the grand marshall of our parade, this year.

I personally started a non profit group called Nevada Troop support 5 years ago. We send letters and requested items to our soldiers in harms way. I am very proud of that and just wanted to share it here since I feel like I have some friends here.

I would encourage all of you to consider making a donation to your local organizations, at this time, in order to support our troops as they are still in harms way fighting for our freedom every day.

Thank you all for letting me share here today.

Thank you Jeanettey for the heart felt post.

I like how some of you post mini goals. I think that is a real good idea. Small things that are achievable during the long trek to be healthier.

Mini Goal - see a number on the scale that starts with 2
Mini Goal - Get below 290 by Oct. 31
Mini Goal - Get into a 2X shirt (and be comfortable in it)

Have a great day Ladies and Gents. Just let me say : Football!!!!!!

P.S. Happy Birthday Reso! You look marvelous dlink!

No excuses. I was sick and used that as a crutch to not at least attempt the heavier weights like everyone suggested.
I still lost, so, I'm good with that considering I didn't even do the SHRED this week. ><

Next week, SHRED and I'll try upping the weights and switching up the routine for the gym... Maybe I'll lose a full pound next week.

No personals right now, I have a test a quiz a paper, and a house to clean. ><
I think I bit off more than I can chew with school, at least I still get my walking in even if it's not much.

Reso, happy birthday!

josey, oooo, nice bike! You need a fancy basket.

Jeanetty, great loss, and thanks for the reminder about our troops. You do good work

envelope, congratulations! Sometimes the chip times are way off your clock time if you start at the back. I've always appreciated races that have results available an hour after or so, with the awards ceremony. It's tough not knowing. Sounds like it was a good race though, and that is a great finisher's photo.

I on the other hand had to cancel my 10k today. I feel bad because I've never not shown up for a race, plus I paid for the darn thing, but my leg is really sore and I think resting it is the smarter thing to do right now. I'm focusing on upper body weights and possible biking until Tuesday, and seeing where I'm at then.

Which means that I'm postponing my bid for sub 8 until then. This is your big chance, Ennay!

I was down a lb earlier in the week but I'm trying to discourage myself from rewarding early weigh-in habits, so I'm only counting today's WI. Have some friends coming over to jam and then I'm probably gonna do a p90x video. Good thing I like WT almost as much as running.

Would someone be so kind as to tell me about y'all's side challenges, these spreadsheets I see mentioned, and this Black Ops business? If I understand correctly you guys have miles and minutes challenges? I already track my minutes and will be running more to prep for 5K, so maybe I could join in?
