Tom really took me out this month, but since that's not an excuse I'm going to have to drop and give me 20!

I think I'll go conservative for the upcoming week and pledge .5 and give it everything I've got to git 'er done.

envelope, that's awesome!! I can't imagine being able to run 13 miles, but it's certainly an aspiration. Know that you give this old girl hope!

Chick - great loss this week, no matter how you got it. I understand how hard it is for a workaholic to commit to the gym. My mental battle is always, "Shouldn't I be working?" vs. "I should be working out!"

I'm going to scale back next week's pledge to 0.5, as my loss rate is slowing down so much. I'm not surprised or upset, but after the 5K next week, I plan to tweak both eating and workout routines; see if I can shake things up a bit.

Today's always a weird day for me - somber and sad, yet thankful. Enjoy all you have today everyone - including your new found health!

Pledge for next week: 0.4

I'm not terribly surprised. I had a huge loss last week and I ramped up exercise significantly this week. Things will settle. But I have to be realistic, what I am doing right now is not a 1 lb per week program and I need to hang tough on this plan for awhile.

Envelope--congratulations!!!

@envelope - WTG girl! Great racing! 4000 cal burned in one day is insane!!

@MadamB - The queen of quickies? Now you send my imagination into overdrive. Oo! ;-) Padded bike shorts? Really? I will look into that. Thanks!

@chick - Holy!!! Nice way to kick off our Sunday loss-fest. 4 pounds is impressive!

@FitGG - Welcome to the platoon! I hope you are crazy enough and stick around! I shoot for a pound a week too. No worries, slow and steady wins the race.

@Proatthis - Nice start. I am sure you make Sarge happy keeping your word on the pledge!

I took Buttercup out for a little intro ride. We get along just fine. Fighting the gravel roads and hills together. It is sure true when they say you never forget how to ride a bike.

New pledge: 1

I am back in the pledging. After gaining a bunch of weight, I got my eating in track and lost 5.4 pounds last week. Still have 4.7 to go to get to my low the past couple months, but I am in it!

Envelope: Amazing job on your race! Inspiring!

Nice job on all the losses!

Nice to see such great progress every week, cleaned and cleaned yesterday, was that one day of the year i now hate ( my birthday ) always lots of retrospect and always judgemental. Actually was a half decent year comparatively, i just hate to see the time pass, i guess it does constantly but the day in particular is all about the passage of time, could be worse i suppose, at least it's not on 9/11.

I have taken it pretty easy this week really, only walked my walk ( it's my backbone now ) well that and weights every other day, miles are sure down without the bike, gonna head out to the lake and do another hike today, it's gonna be hot again, packed a little lunch as well.

Will weigh in later this evening, was down a pound early in the week but haven't weighed for a couple of days, seems my light days are tuesday and wednesday lately, weird, usually it's around thursday.

Hope it's a nice day for everyone.
