Ohh lol yes 2cute, I am a girl
Just got back from the gym... we did our class, which was some kind of dance cardio class (not Zumba) with disco and hiphop type stuff. I looked like an idiot, but who cares! My back started hurting 1/2 way through (I have really crummy back problems - had broken a vertebrate and it shifted forward and have a bulging disc), but I finished it. Hope my back is ok tomorrow so I can go back.. if not I'll go Thurs.. dont want to push it.
Toodles - was the muffin cup any good?

Hi All,
I am excited about this challenge. For my mini I got the broccolli slaw from the store and stir-fry it in olive oil it was very good. My next goal is to try spaghetti squash.
A little about myself. I am the mother of three and without realizing it (or maybe I did but didn't care) I gained an extra 100 lbs. And I keep gaining and losing the same 5 lbs, I feel that once I break that barrier I can keep the weight loss going.

Imannott - spaghetti squash is awesome!! It's really versatile and easy! I discovered it last year and use that often instead of pastas. Let us know what you think! broccoli slaw sounds amazing! I need to get to the store!
Shanhat - yeah I'm in VA, funny thing is I didn't even feel it because we were walking through the halls.. but when we got back to the office everyone was outside.. lol Now we're getting ready for a hurricane!
Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi all, I will do personals later one, just a quick helllooooo for now!
And an admission, so far this week my head has been so far removed from the game it's just plain not funnny, I've been terrible, no exercising, eating TERRIBLY, back to binging and for no good reason. So, this is it now, I'm back on board, hoping to turn things around before Sunday.
I hope to post later this eve and say today has been my first on plan day since last Friday x

Hi, I'm Ally 29, married with 4 kids. I've been trying to lose weight for awhile, and I'm determined to get it off once and for all. I'm hoping to be down 20lbs by Christmas.
I plan on joining a gym and working out three days a week to meet my goals.

I have been busting my butt since last week and when I weighed in yesterday I haven't lost anything! Very discouraging but I will keep at it and weigh in again on Friday. Hope everyone is having a good day!

It's great to see people having a go with the food challenge. I'll be trying to do mine tomorrow, making soup with butternut squash. Not very exciting but something I've never eaten.
Yes, starjumps are jumping jacks, I'm not doing so well with that, being particularly lazy and unmotivated this week. Whoops!
OK, back on it tomorrow, hoping to be brave enough to actually go jogging. I used to do it in Thailand, but haven't managed it back in the UK yet.
2cute2befat - don't be disheartened by the lack of movement on the scale, our bodies do weird things, keep at it, and when the time is right, the results will show
I hope all of you affected by the earthquake are ok.
I love the sound of some of the foods you guys talk about, we just don't have the same things over here, not fair!

2cute: DO NOT WEIGH YOURSELF EVERY DAY!! Seriously.. it's going to do nothing but discourage you (in my honest opinion). Keep going and do what you can and then weigh at the end of the week. It's easy for us to see a slight up and think we've failed and then just say "to **** with it, I've already screwed up"... when in fact it could be water weight, period, etc. Some people do better just weighing once a week... keep going!! You'll be FINE!
TakingControl - Jogging?! good for you! rock it out! Got a good mix on your ipod?? I bet you have things there that we don't have here either..but that's ok.. we'll send you some spaghetti squash!
So tomorrow I meet with a trainer (there's 3 free ones with the gym membership that I joined). I think it'll be mostly weighing and telling me how awful I am and how much I need to work out (as if I didn't knwo I was overweight..). Hopefully it will be a positive experience. Goodnight!

Hiya Everyone!!
Sorry I'm late, I forgot I signed up for the challenge...I swear sometimes I would forget my head.
Okay, I am 36, have two great kids in 2nd & 3rd grade. After having them I lost a lot of weight and maintained a size 16 for a while. Then I had a hysterectomy and within months I went from a 14/16 to a 24/26...Then I ignored it for a long time.
So here I am...I am excited and ready to wear all the clothes in my closet. I started at 305 and I am now at 296. I am not exercising too much due to a back injury and HEAT. I am trying to swim twice a week.
I too want to try spaghetti squash...can any of you give me types on preparing it??
Can't wait to get to know you all!!

@sheshalesha - the spaghetti squash was pretty good. It's really stringy. I cut it in half and baked it in the oven at 400 for about 20-25 minutes. Then pulled the string outs it looks like pasta. I poured low sugar pasta sauce over it and it was pretty good.

@ Slimmer, I usually weigh in once a week.. I am trying some different things this week so lets see if it works. I will weigh in again tomorrow. Something has to give right?

Just did my first P90X workout, Core Synergistics. It almost killed me, and I couldn't even do all of it. I thought I was going to throw up for a minute right before the first break, and had to pause the tape and lie down for a little before I went on. I am way more out of shape then I thought.
