Ah....having a great weekend so far! Treadmill got delivered and setup yesterday so our basement gym is coming along nicely. Hubs is running in his first half-marathon tomorrow so I'm excited to go down and cheer him on. If I time it right (and they keep to their goal pace) I should be able to hop off the train and cheer them as they pass mid-course, hop back on the train and make it to the finish line well before them.

Actual: 2.5 pounds lost
Trek: 15.4 miles (yes that is for a whole week --- hush now lol)

If I don't make it back, I want Reso to have my spanish-klingon dictionary, madameB to have my jet pack and cheshire to have my subscription to All Things Surreal and Wonderful .

You are one cool lady , sorry but i love your personality it's so refreshing and upbeat

Congrats on a nice loss.

josey : No i haven't to tell you the truth i do everything i can to stay away from eating out, i like to prepare my foods fresh, sounds good though.

Well... I was kind of a dead beat today, currently drinking rye and diet cokes, yep and BBQ'ing meat, couldn't decide what to have so it's beef, pork and chicken. made my soup looks to be delicious... IMO.

Did some grocery shopping today, cherries were on special for 1.79 a pound i bought three bags for 8 something... woohoo love me some cherries, it seems i have a cold, funny as i was just commenting in a thread yesterday on exercise and sickness, although i don't seem to get horribly sick anymore, as a matter of fact it took me a while to realize i was even sick to begin with.

Debating on whether or not to hit the road tonight for a ride, probably will but maybe i will get lazy (doubt it though) There are things i could do but... bleh, exercise comes before everything else.

Peanutt : Congrats on your home gym, wish i had the spare room for one.

Peanutt -- Have a great time tomorrow following the H's adventure. My first marathon was so slow my H was able to move around Chicago to catch me every 5 miles or so...it sure kept me going! BTW, is the Commando Steve poster up in the basement yet?

Rainbow -- Yes, Surrogate Sarge is really a member of the elite 6 - S's troop!

Skinny -- Nice job!!!! Pledge for next week? Also, are you on the spreadsheet for those miles? BTW, if Reso doesn't want that dictionary, Sarge will take it...sell it on e-bay!

Board updated in post #2 /// this is note Sarge leaves for himself to hide his Altzheimers...

sarge --- I pledge 1 pound for next week and I don't see my name in the spreadsheet, so I didn't enter them (15.4) there.

Sorry!

(Does anyone know the penalty for lining up a dozen teens and kicking their butt-ers in assembly line fashion? How many calories would it burn?)

MadamB : Hmmm, lets see, two turkey carcasses pressure cooked and picked clean, also a couple of T bone steak bones thrown in for measure, ( stuff in the freezer ) fresh garden potatoes, also home grown and fresh summer savory and thyme, a few bay leaves, snow peas, crimini mushrooms , couple vine ripened tomatoes, a yellow onion, baby carrots, organic celery, regular peas, some salt and pepper with a cup of banana bell pepper juice for a little kick all pressure cooked to perfection ( yeah i love my pressure cooker for making soups ).

Anyways it's pretty darn tasty, i had two bowls with some extra meat... Ate nearly a bag of cherries, i'll be sad when they are out of season, i've probably bought close to 10 bags this summer now, eating a lot of fruit lately.

Reso! Your new signature quote is so you. Perfect.

"When the body is pushed beyond limits, rely on your heart to survive."

And that soup sounds delicious.

Okay, I am totally here to claim my platypus rocketeer!! Don't even come close to it, surreal and wonderful totally includes the rocket packed-platypus. It was a typo that Gooey got the rocket pack. I know it! Too much Goo dripping all over and it could not take off.

I'll challenge you for it! Oh I will. You, Gooey! Behind the slide after school.

Envelope-My 12 miles was good. I have to say around mile 8, it was good no kids were around me because I was muttering some obscenities...errr...I mean motivational words to myself because I had a major attack of stitches. Argg. But really, overall my 12 miles went better than I thought considering my last long run was less than stellar! I'm so glad to hear yours was good!

Lots going on...but I've gotta run.
I'm watching you Goobster, leave the platypus alone...they bite!

So, it is only today that I discovered the Smith Machine bar is only 15 pounds, not the 45 I assumed it'd be, like an olympic bar. SIGH. I've been doing 30# lighter weights than I assumed/wanted to do. They felt so easy, I felt like such a champ. Now, I know better. <_<

I'm not down with this smith machine bs. I can't do squats on it comfortably, so I've been doing goblet squats instead. I do feel my form is better with goblet squats than barbell squats, though.

We got just 1 month at this gym, but we're reconsidering switching once this month is up. This gym is smaller than the other one we looked at, so even with a few people it feels crowded. There's no squat rack for me. It's always warm in the gym (I have a feeling they turn it down at night, and that's when we go).) The other gym costs a bit more, and we'd have to sign a year contract, but it'll be worth it for cooler, bigger facilities with the equipment I really want. The other one also has a tiny room for classes, so maybe I can dip a toe back into yoga, as it's been almost a year since I went last.

Been an awesome week, did my workouts every day and stayed on track and I see the results! Gonna do my long run today, 4 miles. It's been raining here, and part of the route I take could potentially be a mud slide, will have to see if I have to turn around and take another route when I get there! No sprains for me, nuh uh. I hate England's weather...ALWAYS RAINING ARGHGHGHGHG.
