Sarge's No Excuses Boot Camp #11
SORRY, THREAD #12
I joined 3FC seriously on 1/1/11, have lost 68 lbs./30%, and have assembled a platoon, a group who gives 110% every day to achieving their weight loss goal. Some of the ladies nicknamed me Sarge, so Sarge it is!
--Please join if you're serious about dropping pounds and melting your "BUTT-er" (that's a salute to Private MadamGooey).
--Please join if you want daily motivation to achieve your goal. Sarge has plenty of time to keep an eye on you!
--Please join if you want Sarge and the platoon to scream in your face like Jillian Michaels on Biggest Loser because that's what you're gonna get if you don't meet your goal each week!
--Please join if you understand the definition of challenge, "...a call to engage in a contest, fight, or competition," THIS IS YOUR LIFE YOU'RE FIGHTING FOR!
-- DON'T join if you're gonna bring excuses!
-- DON'T join if your head isn't in it yet. We'll be here to embrace you with well-toned arms when you're ready.
-- DON'T join if you're overly sensitive to comments like "step away from the buffet!"
--DON'T join if you want to discuss anything other than get this freaking weight off of me! Sarge is type A personality. Excuses and reading touchy-feely stuff makes Sarge's eyes bleed! There are many other threads on 3FC that offer loads of "soft" support and make you feel it's ok to slack on your weight loss efforts. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE THREADS!
RULES: IT'S EASY! Simply make Sarge a promise each Sunday by posting a promise lose a certain number of pounds the following week then DO IT! New Privates encouraged to join any Sunday!
Newbie posts should look like this: Hi Sarge, I'm new! I promise to lose ___ pounds next week!
ALL ARE WELCOME (including men)...any age, any amount of weight to lose. Say "Yes, Count Me In Sarge!" Do it, you know you want to, then drop and give me 20 minutes of exercise!

Carry over from last thread....
josey - you'll have to log each exercise individually. There's a way to save it all as a workout to make future logging easier.

I figured out how to save a routine but that's the easy part :-)
Not sure if I know all the exercises, let alone the reps!

Sorry I havent been around today. I went to get groceries this morning. When I got home I spent ALLLLL afternoon canning homemade salsa and pickles (I got a killer deal on tomatoes) and making dinner at the same time. BTW my kitchen is TINY! But I ended up with 8 pints of yummy scrumptious salsa and umm...7 jars of pickles. Then I went jogging. And just in time for the rain to get here.
Anywho...
I lost 4.6 pounds
I pledged 4.2 pounds (according to the spreadsheet)
I trekked 9.5 miles.

I left off on day 3 for my TDS. I have been doing some workouts. The kids dominate my work out room over the weekends so I don't get to do my workouts. But I have dropped 3 pounds. What have I changed? Eating at work!
I have a decent Breakfast, I take nuts, or Beef Jerky and water to work, I snack on those when I start getting cravings. For dinner I try to eat smaller portions and snack on low calorie snacks. So far it seems to be working for me.
During the week I do my TDS and 20 minutes on the treadmill at a 10% Incline. This adds up to 50 minutes a day. That is 250 minutes a week. With 10 miles trekked for the week.
I have broken through my wall weight today. HURRAY and had a huge NSV today at work. I had a very very trying day and I did not eat at work, even though my Cravings were out of this world due to the emotions running on high. I persevered and made it through the day without taste testing a single fry!

Thanks Kittykat! I always start awesome but it always slows down.
Oh...My new pledge for this week is 2 pounds.....but I am going on vacation this week so I'm a bit nervous. Hopefully we will do some hiking.

What's TDS??
Oh and can somebody tell me what a Superman exactly is? Looks like it adds a lot of points on Fitocracy. Must be a tough one!

Josey - No need to feel stupid! It took me a while to get used to seeing the acronym for it.

Yea, I always start off with massive drops too. I have never made it this far the previous times I tried to lose weight so I get to experience the slow weeks now and I am not looking forward to it. But on the plus side, every pound is closer to my goal!

Josey - Go on Youtube and type "How to do a superman" Livestrong.com has a good video posted to show how it is done.
