Morning Ladies -
Survived Irene unscathed - just a lot of rain and one tornado warning, never lost power (wohoo!). 179.2 this morning, made the mistake of making 'hurricane cookies' with the boys on Saturday night, ate way too many of them!
Mavis - hope you fared OK this weekend with the storm!
Mindy - Feels like fall here today too, low 60s, no humidity, nice breeze....so great! Don't stress too much about the weight, working out 7 days a week isn't sustainable, you need days off. Get out and take a nice walk today, destress and just enjoy the beautiful weather because before you know it we'll all be stuck inside.
Nix - thanks so much, we think she's pretty adorable too I'll just have to post a new pic now!

Been a rough day. Had to have my old man dog put to sleep today. He was 11 and the great love of my life after my kids. Needless to say, pretty heavy heart.
It was time, he was terminal and we knew that. Still, miss him and wish it was different.
Weather was horrible Sunday, got my power back late this afternoon! Ick!
Had to also go see my Mom, she had a knee replacement last week. She is an always unhappy individual and today was no different.
All in all, glad to go to bed! G'night all!

Mavis - so sorry about your dog, it's tough especially when they've been a part of our lives for such a long time, hugs!
Doing good, nothing exciting to report for the day - just trying to figure out what to make for dinner tonight. Take care all

Mavis - that salad sounds yummy! Glad you're feeling better today.
Lazy morning, sitting in bed with my laptop waiting for Darcy to wake up. Nothing exciting planned for today, some grocery shopping, workout DVD and a little cleaning. Need to start drinking more water, falling into my old Diet Pepsi ways again. Take care all!

Sorry I have been missing for a few days. School is starting back up so I have been in my classroom and at meetings. The weekends always seem to be filled with projects for me and the hubbie.
Mavis-My heart breaks for you. In the last 2 years we have lost 2 of our beloved 4 legged family members. I know how tough it is. My big boy is going on 14....he is getting really old. Don't know how I will handle that one. One thing we worked on this weekend was a flower bed beside the house. It contains my 2 boys and now it is nice and pretty for them. Even though it has been a while I still cried like a baby when I made it all pretty for them. Hang in there!!!
Nix- Glad you popped in. Thought I might have to go FB stalk you and call you back. Don't leave us like that..we love you. Good job on the smoking!!! I can't imagine fighting 2 battles at the same time. You stick around ..ya hear??
Em- Glad you survived the wrath of mopther nature. She is beautiful..(you know who I mean).
This wacky body of mine..I fight the up, down syndrome. Was up now down to 178.2. Haven't seen that number in a while. Wish it would stick around but that is a foolish thought. Someday I will arrive at my happy place.
Nix- DOING IT THIS TIME!!!!

Mindy & Emi, thanks. My man is buried in under the apple tree and is with Maggie. I lost her 2 years ago at Thanksgiving, so yeah, it's been a crappy 2 years for me too with my furry kids. O'Neill (the pup in my pic) is the only one I have left. He is 16 months, so should be with me for a bit, but, has not yet won my heart as those 2 did. I am sure he will, he has been DH's dog, but is really trying the last few days to win me over. We'll see.
Mindy, hope you find your happy place.
Kris, I miss you too! Hope to see more of you!
Jeni, where are you? Is it Disney time already?
Michelle???????? you started this thread and then left us again. Hope to see you when the kids go back to school.
Going to watch the Yankees/Red Sox!

Morning ladies -
Well Labor Day is almost here so we need a new challenge thread, any ideas? I'm thinking either Halloween (8 weeks) or Thanksgiving (~12 weeks). We need Jeni because I'm no good with the clever titles
Mavis - thanks! I can't believe I only have 5 weeks left at home with her, goes by too fast!
Mindy - hope the 178 sticks!
Nothing exciting today, some cleaning etc... take care ladies!

We can start a new challenge, or we can go join another one together. I don't wanna lose you girls, but maybe, we need to give up on this thread as quiet as it has gotten> Anybody out there with an opinion?

Happy Labor Day!
Mavis - I think maybe we should do one more challenge, with the summer coming to an end and people schedules becoming more regular maybe there'll be some more traffic. I'll start a new Thanksgiving Challenge - I don't know how to post a link so just look for it.
