Jeniansmom... Thank goodness!!

I've been walking at night to my friends and back... It's just over 1 mile there, and then also back. Last night I walked the long way which added a few more blocks. Then after I got home I decided to walk to the Redbox & back which added 1 more mile to my walk (1.2). So I feel really good about my walking yesterday, plus the whole time I was speed walking.

Jen - Glad to see your power back on and running!

JillNicole - I love me some FiberOne brownies! You did excellent walking! Great job!!!!

I expected weight gain with my stuff going on this week - in a total flair with joints, colon/intestines...and approaching TOM...I had to psychologically brace myself and not let it mess with my head. Turns out the scale showed pity on me and showed a .4lb loss. It's not much by any means, and absolutely sure I am holding on to at least 2 lbs of fluid... but was relieved to not have to eyeball it with the numbers My joints alone have enough fluid in them right now to fill a bathtub (ok, a bit of an exxageration, but you understand, lol). I did hit the elliptical last night, but for a much shorter time then normal due to pain... but I figure even in that time, it was better than sitting on the couch! Hope everyone is having an awesome hump day!

Hi All!

Well, this week was flat for weight loss with me. No workouts for two days, weak workouts for two days before that, and crazy hunger pangs/cravings. Didn't completely go off the reservation with food, but was disappointed with portion control and way too much salt--my ultimate craving weakness.

Back in the pool today for a good workout. Ready to get back into the swing for September. Onderland is just around the corner!

Jen & sheramama--so sorry about the power outages and flooding from the big storm. Living in 19th century conditions puts a big wrinkle into daily routines. I really hope things get back to normal soon.

jillnichole
--Great job with the speed walking and FiberOne brownies!

ItsMyTurn
--Hate the fluid retention! I can surely relate. Good for you working out and posting weight loss in the face of adversity No question about it--you'll make up for it next week.

Jeniansmom-I'm glad you got power back...I lucked out with 1/2 a day, but some of my friends won't have it back until Tue bc of the holiday. Just think, hot showers feel THAT much better

JillNicole: I wish I could walk to our closest redbox, but its 8 miles away It would take forever.

ItsMyTurn: Any loss is still a loss. I hope your body feels better!

Floriduh: We got the Sept challenge down!

Today was the first day of school for the kids, which they loved. They even came home exhausted I didn't work today since my schedule is all messed up. I felt like I got so much done: did dishes, worked out, showered, went to both an Amish produce stand (holy love for the Amish...such yummy stuff-homemade zuccini/pinapple/raisin bread) and grocery shopping, picked up my mom, got the kids from the respective schools, made dinner, back to my moms to switch cars so I can get mine inspected, put together a crockpot lasana for tomorrow, signed a million papers, and put the kiddies to bed.

So yesterday the internet was out, unrelated to Irene. bla!
Final weigh in for August remains at 240.5, which is 12 pounds down for the month.
I also got my average blood sugar down to: 125!! This rocks! I have been testing first thing in the am, just before bed, and occasionally throughout the day if I feel off. I am super excited about this number.
Water has been eh lately which is why I think my bs numbers have been up a bit recently. And I've started sneak attacking exercise in on myself. Not planning it, just doing small random acts of it here and there. hehe
How has everyone else's month wrapped up?

Jen

Hello everyone
I returned from my vacation and I feel renewed I worked out 8 days out of 10 () and as for the food ... well ... I was quite on plan since I was the one who cooked (went dining out for dinner twice), but I had a few cheats with cookies. As for the weightloss non-related stuff, I must say I've had a great time, I really enjoyed all the great beaches and did a bit of sightseeing too, if you want I can post a few pictures - was like a little paradise on earth
Cant wait for the weigh-in!!!

I started with 170 and went down to 165.3. This means I've reached one of the goals I doubted I would yay As for the food goals, I've been on plan about 80 % time and plan on improving this in the future (not because of stying on plan but because good food makes me feel better and bad food only tempts me)
