Well- since this is my first day of my "new lifestyle" I definitely want to be counted in!

My goal for August is to lose 8 lbs. I'm at 205 right now...so that will at least put me under 200!

I didn't plan on working out on the 1st, but I ended up doing a kick-*** run on the treadmill. 3 miles. That is a ton for me! So today is my day off. It feels like all I do now is workout, workout, and then try desperately to catch up on the few days off with housework, groceries, etc, etc.

Ugh...but at least I'm taking the kids to the pool this afternoon. :-)

Keep it up everyone! August can be GREAT!

Chickiechicks, that's great!

I was gaining the past two days instead of losing, even though I did everything right. It was only a total of 0.4 pounds, but still annoying. But today I weighed in, and I'm down 0.8, to 147.2! Yay! Now let's home TOM doesn't kill me in the next few days...

Woo hoo for what must have been water weight Down 2.6lbs in 2 days...strange that drinking MORE water makes me lose the water weight...kind of counter intuitive!

Good morning! Just checking in quick...
I did 40 min walk/run yesterday AM and 20 min walk in the PM.
My eating has been more calories then it should be but healthy foods. I even roasted asparagus for the 1st time
My goal for today is to get a workout in and be more careful with how much I'm consuming.

Rat, the water helps me lose too. Big congrats on the 2.6lb loss!!! I would LOVE to see that on my scale.

Kaleidoscopic, YAY on the loss. Good luck with TOM, I'm just coming off mine. UGH!

Loli and LGW, don't sweat the .4 stay focused and it will be off plus more in no time!

Chickiechicks, it sounds like we are living the same life! Great job on the 3 mile run I used to feel so great after a nice run like that.

Just checking in! Have had a heck of a time sticking to my goal of getting up early enough to go running in the morning. Need to figure that one out! I was able to pull myself out of bed early enough this morning to get a good 20 minute session on the elliptical.
Weigh in this morning is 174.5! That means down 1.5 lbs in three days. I will take it! Its about time.

Feeling good today...down .4 from yesterday! That's 3 lbs so far! To be fair, I had been eating like crap, and not exercising fir a while now must be shocking my body into submission! And, for the first time that I can remember...I'm looking forward to working out tonight!! Just bought the Zumba DVDs and I'm excited to get through them all!

Thank you, chickadee for putting together the list! Now my goal is in writing... I better buckle down and get at it! Unfortunately, I'm not off to a great start this month... I've gained half a pound. Blergh. But it's my TOM so I'm not too worried, hopefully the scale will be going in the right direction soon. This morning I was also late for work and skipped breakfast... I haven't done that since I started my program in May and it feels weird! Just had a bowl of homemade turkey soup though, and feel much better.
