You guys, it was realy hard but SO worth it, I feel SO motivated right now and when I got those pics I realized I can DO ANYTHING! I seriously recommend Warrior Dash for everyone, if you don't run you can walk if you want, just the feeling of accomplishment at the end makes the hard work worth it!

Thanks everyone for ALL the kind words!

I don't think I have enough battery life on my laptop at the moment to get back to everyone! This thread is insanely active! Hehe.

Peanutt - loved the analogy for the metabolism, I will surely remember that for the rest of my life now!

Iianae - Holy moly woman, look at you go! What's with all the FIRAH?!

Sarge - Had myself a little giggle when you mentioned you had to get your eyebrows waxed just because of all the military man imagery that is linked with you!

--

I woke up this morning to found I lost another pound on the scale, hoping it stays that way until Sunday! Work was so busy last night I was running around for 5 and a half hours - updated that to my fitocracy and earned me some points whoop! Going on a 2 mile run today, got the big 5 mile run on Sunday! My gym induction was postponed due to someone ringing in sick, I was well annoyed (not to the girl who rang me, but afterwards!) since I was so pumped to get in a gym again. Now I have to wait until the 4th =(. Boo! Will just have to try my best to do my cross training at home.

*Rimmer Salute* hope you're all kicking behind and losing pudge ladies!

Sarati - great job with the CCing.

Rated - is there a grocery store near the cabin? If so maybe you can pick up what you want that is parishable there.

JoyfulVeg - I love the image of unhappily snacking on carrots...but it did give you the opportunity to crunch away! I hope things get better with your prof. I am registering for my fall classes today.

chick - you look Amazing! Not only can you see the transformation in your waste, but your face is much thinner.

Kuri - everyone is different, so it is hard to say what someone else should eat. That being said, If you do not feel hungry, cranky, etc. I think you found a good range for yourself. Make sure if you are hungrier that you eat more that day...but make each calorie count. I have only felt really hungry and I ate up to my cal limit a few different times in this journey, and I think they actually had more to do with stress than real hunger.

Hi de ho troops! Bad news for those chasing Sarge on fitocracy ...Sarge is wide awake and full of energy this morning...feels some MAJOR points coming on!

Rated---This is for you:

Pokey--Finished Extreme Weight Loss show from this week. I know the show uses extreme life stories, but I'm always amazed at no matter what life throws at those people they get the job done...there's only been the one case where the guy ultimately checked into a food rehab center, but that was even a victory because he finally admitted he had a problem.

Reso--Trucks are awesome! I occasionally take my husband's Ram/w Hemi engine for a ride just to floor it and feel that engine. Of course the Saudi Princes then "have themselves a giggle" over the amount of gas I just wasted!

Chick -- Leopard print dress!!!!

Riestrella -- Love our little differences/similarities. Our "Melting Butt-er" = your "Losing Pudge." BTW, the military man imagery isn't too far off. I wear my hair very short, I'm very tall and apparently manly looking because there isn't a 2 week period that goes by when someone doesn't call me "sir" by mistake. Drives me crazy!

Iiane --Really enjoy the photos...can't get the song "Ring of Fire" our of my mind since you posted them.

Jeanettey -- Wave that flag and give us our new challenge!

Alrighty then troops...red dwarf salute & lose that pudge!

Sarge - Sorry for being AWOL for a few days. Been down for the count with a stomach bug. I'm still hoping to meet my weight loss pledge this week...and get back to exercising once the nausea and dizziness goes away.

I'm certain this program is no different than c25K but it made me laugh considering all our butt-er references: http://www.runyourbuttoffbook.com/uof/runyourbuttoffbook/hc2/?keycode=168792&mktOfferId=RWD47768&product_code=1 21255&smartcode=1119630030224400000771155444620110 727

Anon - Tomorrow if I make it! Woohoo. I am so excited I even thought about trying tonight. I might :-) I can't wait to finish it. I can't really believe that I made it to W9. When I started I figured it is highly unlikely that I make it. I thought I will try and see and if I make it to W5 I would be so happy. I even planned out the whole program with repeating every week and figured if I get there by mid September it would be so awesome. Ha! It is not even August yet and I am on my last run!!! I am in shock.
I also thought I could never get my weight below 195 lbs which was my lowest ever (adult) weight. :-) So excited!!! I really start to think I can do this. I can reach goal weight and even lower. My goal weight right now is set to reach normal BMI but I am starting to wonder if I can't get another 10 lbs lower into the middle of the BMI normal range. Wouldn't that be awesome?
If I can do this, I can do anything!
Sorry for the rant but I am about to burst with energy and excitement today. :-)))

Mornin Troops!

Envolope... years ago when I lost my 1st 100lbs I had MASSIVE hair loss, I saw a specialist I was so scared. He also stated that diet, medications, surgery trauma can effect hair loss and it will eventualy regulate it self, in the mean time take BIOTIN and consume alot of PROTEIN. Well, here I am 6 or so years later and I still take BIOTIN and focus on protien, my hair did stop short of being bald BUT my air is now very fine and not 1/2 as full as it used to be ...but Im 100 lbs lighter and it was a good trade off
Dont fret too much about it....skinney bald chicks are hott! lol

Resalute ... congrate on the future truck! We have a Ford F150 and the things a beast! (I preferr sleek sexy 2 seater cars and am looking at Mazda MX8 for my next/ fiance has the truck) I do love that we can thro our bikes and yaks in the back so easyily and the milage is insane on trucks...they just keep going an going.

Jeanettey
.. baaaahahahahaha

Chikadee.. OMG! LOVE IT! You look fab-u-lus! great pix!

Josey ... Congrats! go for it... set that new goal, of course you can do it, silly lol

Cheshirecat
... lol...My teens start school Aug 31st and I am oh so sad schools almost here allready....NOT! lol

Well TOM is doin a number on me today, called out sick for work and bearly mustered 10 lousey min on cardio...but ya know what? I still dragged my sorry butt to that gym and got on that machine and worked it with level 40 resistance and the fiance gave me a HOOORAAH so Im not counting it as a failure.
Killer cramps realy shut me down and keep me in bed, took me 3hours to swallow my 30g protein shake and my 60g challege will be tuff today.

kuri: Your intake seems perfect for your height. How old are you? I put your stats into my calculator and just left the age at my own (33), and it looks like a 1200-1500 calorie range should result in an average loss of 2+ lbs per week given your high level of activity. That's fantastic! And on the dress - I had never bought anything in leopard print before, and I questioned my sanity when I did. But it's very figure-flattering, because though I wish I were an hour-glass shape, I am definitely not! I am solidly a pear, and I carry a ton of weight in my legs. I have been very envious this week looking at peanutt and Iilanae's knees and legs - I want to get mine looking like that too!

Riestrella: If I forget to mention it, GOOD LUCK with the run on Sunday!!!!

envelope, Anon, cheshire and Me1st: Thank you!

Cheshire: Ack is right! I hope you enjoy the last bits of summer as fully as possible!

diyana: I hope you're feeling better soon!!

Iilanae and josey: Your excitement is completely infectious! I love reading about your successes and the way that they motivate you. Way to go!

Me1st: That is scary about the hair; I just assumed it would come back. I will make sure I focus on getting enough protein no matter what, and will check into the biotin. Thank you for the tips! And I'm really sorry about the cramps - I know exactly what it's like to have them that severely. Have you ever been checked for endometriosis? I didn't know until I was diagnosed with it recently, but apparently endometriosis is the cause in a whopping 80% of women with dysmenorrhea. Serious kudos to you for still getting to the gym - people who never experience cramps like that have NO idea how difficult that is.

The scale was down 1.6 lbs this morning, woohoo! I credit DREAMER, pokey and peanutt for my higher calorie day yesterday - I don't even want to think about the amount of fat in what I ate for dinner last night, but at least the portions were small.

Chickadee – You look hot in that leopard dress! And you can see a huge difference in your face especially your cheeks and chin.

Kuri – I am 5’2” and that is the calorie range that I stick with also. It seems to work well for me. But I lost weight without exercising at the lower end of that range so since you are exercising a lot you may want to be closer to 1500 than 1200. But you will know what is best for you. You just have to experiment and see what gives you the results you want.

Envelope – I haven’t been to the cabin in so long I am not sure if there is a store but I would assume there would have to be. That is a good idea though I will have to hunt a store down. My boyfriend is going to try and find a small cooler to put our healthy snacks in and I straight up told my mom I would not eat junk all weekend. Besides worst case I’ll go bum food of my grandparents or something

I tried on the bathing suit I want to wear at the cabin today. I was working hard this week so it would fit a little better and it does I feel so much better in it now. The shorts are looser at the legs and the bathing suit fits better around the waist and hips. I am so proud of myself for actually achieving what I wanted to in only 7 days.

So after my long break from working out, im finally back in it. My boyfriend and I signed up at the local gym here in CT. Its SUPER small, but it does the trick. Its so hard working aside my boyfriend bc we are at completely opposite sides of this marathon. He is skinny and training to gain weight, and im heavy, trying to lose weight. So while im trying to stay between 1200-1500 calories he is scarfing down almost 3000!

Peanutt: CONGRATS ON THE 100 lbs!!!!! You look amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your pictures!!! You are definitely inspirational!! And I absolutely LOVED the Furnace analogy!

Chick-a-dee: Happy Be-lated Birthday!!! Hope it was amazing!! And the leopard dress.. you look fabulous!

Anon: Thanks for adding me to the spread sheet! Also I LOVE getting new work out clothes, it actually pushes me to work out even more! =)

KittyKat: Dont worry about the small gains, when you start doing strength training or really pushing yourself, you create small tears in your muscle which causing you to hold on to water. Especially in your legs, there are days where ill do a leg workout and the next day ill be up 1.5 lbs, but it will come right off! Remember weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint! ( I have to continue to remind myself of that!)

Iianae: LOVE the warrior dash pictures! i did the one in IL and it was brutal!!!

Rated: Family gatherings always get the best of me! try to eat small portions instead!

I am working another concert this weekend and the last concert I almost had a pants on the floor episode. The dress code is black pants, capris, or shorts, so I stopped at my mom's to see what she had in her closets full of diff size clothes. I found a pair of black 14 pants, and figured I would just have to sweat it out when my mom gives me a pair of shorts and said just try them....they fit and they are size 10!!! So then she breaks out all of her size 10 shorts (mostly stretchy jean material) and most of them fit, she also gave me a few size 12s. So I went from having 2 pairs of shorts and 3 capris that fit to having a ton of shorts, some sundresses that will fit soon, and a few more pairs of pants.

I have been trying to buy as few clothes as possible this summer since I will have to dress like a teacher starting in late Aug. If the sun dresses fit well when school starts I will pick up a light weight wrap to wear on top and some blouses for the capris and pants. I am having a FABULOUS clothes day.
