I'd very much like to join you all! I'd love to lose 50lbs by Christmas, and I'm certain I can do it if I stay on plan. I'm doing IF (Intermittent Fasting) with calorie counting. So far it's working beautifully for me, especially since I don't have to eat during the time of day I'm not hungry (generally I don't get hungry until late afternoon, so my window to eat starts at around 3pm and ends around 9pm).

I haven't been doing much exercise, but I really do need to start. I've got a manual treadmill but the belt is sticking so I have to fix it before I can use it. But in the mean time I think I'm going to go back to my Turbo Jam dvds, they worked well the last time I did them (then I got pregnant and stopped doing them). So my exercise goal will be to do a Turbo Jam dvd at least 3x's this week.

I weigh every day, but I can post my weights here on Fridays if thats when everyone is weighing in. So I'll use last Friday's weight as my starting weight, and that was 225.6 lbs. So by Christmas my goal is to be 175.6lbs (wow, I haven't seen that number since high school!).

Default Keeping track--

So far. So good. Even when I don't get it into Fitday til the evening-- I have managed to stay in the 1200 cal range.

But-- I gotta' say--this isn't easy!

Right now, I'm just winging it. Keeping the house full of fruits n veggies. Lots in season so that is helping. Proteins are a bit harder. Staying away from the processed, sugared, "crap" foods that I know will do me in!

I'm not "hungry." Just fighting the cravings..... Making yogurt tonight--to have with fresh blueberries tomorrow.

As a friend of mine always says, "Keep doing (eating) the next right thing!"

Good luck to everyone!

Default bad week

Have been having a bad week - sticking with my points but no exercise. I'm very depressed about my foot pain and not being able to go to work, which means I'm not making any money which stresses me out which, you guessed it, makes me eat...

I have several work out DVDs I could do that are low impact or weights and am even procrastinating on that.

Sorry to be such a bummer, thought of not posting, but maybe some support and inspiration will help me get out of this mental and physical rut...

So it's weigh in day. I started last Friday at 225.6 and am currently down to 219.6, so I'm down 6lbs! (have no idea how that happened, just happy it did!)

I need some willpower dust, I have a bbq to go to tomorrow. And it's my mom's bbq (she likes to feed people) and there will be tons of yummy food. I'm hoping to distract myself from the fabulous spread by spending most of my time playing music with the other pickers and musicians. But it's still gonna take some willpower to resist.

Good luck everyone, have an on plan day!

Calmeida: Just hang in there. Try to keep your mind of things and your lips of too much food. Hehe. You will feel even more depressed if you eat more food than you should.

fridayangel: Whoo hoo, congrats on your 4.5! Glad you started with breakfast, it gets you metabolism going! I HAVE to eat breakfast everyday, when my eyes open in the morning I'm hungry haha.

LGW Good job! Keep going!

Latchkey Princess: Congrats on the 6 pounds! In regards to the BBQ, why not eat before you go? Or atleast a just a little bit. You will feel fuller and won't feel the need to eat as much when you are there.

T H A N K Y O U!!!!! I'm so stoked for this challenge!!

I'm trying to workout 4-5 a week for over an hour. Eat 6 small meals a day and drink lots of water. Weigh in is on Monday! My only problem is my coffee intake. I'm addicted!!! 4-5 cups a day, atkeast I don't drink sugar just the milk. Do you guys think this is bad?

Not weighing in until tomorrow. Gained back up to 248.5 after a month on vacation and a very stressful visit with the inlaws last week. Hoping that tomorrow I'm back down to 243 so I can get the ball rolling again in the right direction.

In this case would my 50 lbs be counted from 248.5 or 243? What do you think?

Melodymist: if the coffee is for the energy you may want to invest in a good multivitamin, GNC has a great womens time release MV (ultra mega); slowly cut back on your coffee because at this rate you're sure to get a withdrawal headache if you go cold turkey :-)

Fridayangel: thanks for starting the thread

Lambiechop: I guess it would start at whatever your first WI reveals! I'm sure it will be OK. You are back on track and that is all that matters.

Calmeida: what happened to your foot?

LGW
