Alright, I'm in for round 3. (Wow, I just got a "Round 3, FIGHT" voice stuck in my head. My guy has got to STOP playing Mortal Kombat. I told him it would eventually drive me crazy!)
*Goal: lose 10 lbs
*Binge only 1X during the challenge (I'd want 0 times, but let's be realistic)
*Stay within my calorie allotment
*4x/week cardio, 3x weights

Count Me In!
I'll jump in with my challenge to lose 9 lbs by August 31. That will rocket me past 25% of my overall weight loss goal! I'm feeling revved up for the challenge because I lost 3 lbs since last Monday! Increased cardio (water jogging & swimming) duration and intensity last week, and took Friday off. Barring a hurricane, I'm ready to lose nine more unwanted pounds in August!

1. Lose eight pounds.
2. Work out 6 day a week for a least an hour each day.
3. Track my caloric intake daily.

I'm gonna jump in. ^^ I'm starting at 148 pounds, hoping to reach 139.3.
My goals are to stay within my calorie intake until August 27th, at which point I'm back on meal plan. From there, my goal is to find some way to transition to the meal plan and eat healthily enough to keep losing, even though I won't be able to count calories. I guess I'll start with no desserts (they ALWAYS have like eight flavors of ice cream, and it's my ultimate weakness), and try to cut dairy and cheese as much as possible.
If anyone has any tips on college dining, PLEASE HELP. =P

Welcome aboard xxkaleidoscopic! As you know, from all the progress you have made thus far, it's the little things! My friend keeps a ton of grapes in her cubicle fridge in her dorm for snacks... this helps when people on the floor are ordering late night pizza for her It's the only thing I can offer up though, and not sure how much of a help that was.

I'd like to join, too! My goal for the month is 8 lbs. I'm starting again after losing 42 lbs two years ago and putting about 20 of them back on...Arrgh! Bud Light! Why do you tempt me so??? I'm a weekend beer drinker...no, not an alcoholic, but I know that's my biggest weight problem. So, back to the occasional Bud Select 55 and back on Weight Watchers. Just looking for some encouragement and advice on my weight loss journey.

That did give me some idea. The late-night eating is a problem in college, and I suppose grapes would give me something to snack on while everyone else eats pizza. I'm still eating like everyone else is, but just not WHAT they're eating.
I'm not much of a snacker while dieting, though, so I guess I'm most concerned about mealtimes, which will basically have to be in the cafeteria. Baaahhh. I guess I'll figure something out!
