I wholeheartedly agree! Don't let anything stand in your way, ladies.

Smile

chickadee - I am so sorry!

rainbowsmiles - I decided to check that unclaimed money website not expecting to find anything and to my surprise, an insurance company I had almost 20 years ago owes me money! It didn't say how much... guess I have to submit the claim and wait for the check. I'm thinking that maybe I switched my car insurance to another company before my policy ended so the check likely won't be for much, but it was fun to find something!

Yeah, add me to the TOM club this week - but I knew it was coming and decided in advance that I would ignore all sweet cravings and push myself past the laziness that I always get! It worked! I am half way through and no cheats on diet or exercise!

I decided to skip the hike at the state park yesterday and just go walking on the trails near my house (did 6 miles). I think the snake incident is really bothering me... mostly because they are so hard to see and I'm afraid I will not notice one and get too close!

I'm going to stay in today and do the Wii - I love the bike ride on the Wii Fit Plus!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

I think the difference is you can use TOM as an excuse to eat off plan and sit on the couch or not. I'm one of the lucky ones not affected much by cravings, cramps, etc. (Sorry Reso!) But, even if you're gung-ho, water retention is often an uncontrollable fact of life that will affect the scale readings. So, I just try not to obsess over the numbers those days, but definitely expect myself to stick to business as usual. And I'm usually rewarded with a nice whooosh.

DataGirl, good thinking on the change of hiking venue! I'm ok with BIG scary things, but not so much with the ones you can't easily see - snakes, mice, etc.

rainbowsmiles, I "found" about $300 thru that site last year. Not a ton of dough, but a nice little surprise.

Sarge - that cartoon reminds me of the movie Juno when the one girl tries to tell the other girl that she's not pregnant, it's just a food baby.

Just a quickie for me, I'm trying to write a ton of stuff today, but am having miserable writer's block.

Had a great boxing workout this morning, but haven't been able to get my second workout of the day in yet because of work. Tomorrow I have BL, but I'm actually kind of excited for it to end because then I'm going to start going to the boxing gym five days a week!!! Can't wait!

I hope everyone is doing well, I have to get back to banging my face against the keyboard hoping thoughts come out.

"Food retention" - love it!

pokeycactus, what kind of writing do you do? I do some copywriting for websites, marketing materials, etc. and the creative muse just doesn't show up some days. I envy writers who can just sit down and write every single time. Usually when I'm blocked, I just write down the random ideas that come to mind and save them. Then, I'll look back on them later to see if there's a germ of an idea worth keeping. Sometimes there is, most times not. Good luck with the head banging!

I'm thinking of adding a second short workout into my days when I can. Any suggestions? I probably wouldn't go to the gym a second time, but rather workout at/near home. I like the idea of biking, but I stupidly gave my bike away last year. What activity do you all think gives the most results in a relatively short time? (By "most results" I don't mean lbs lost, etc. but rather a more intense workout.)

Pokey--Send us the topic of your writer's block...I'm sure this group can come up with some interesting ideas...all pornographic, but interesting nonetheless. How about something about scantily-clad broccoli?

New thread later tonight...it takes time and I gotta scoot right now but I think the 500th poster was Data Girl's comment on food retention so I'll send a Woosh fairy out to her too.
