MadamGoo - great idea with the weighted backpack! I think I might try that. I'm pretty sure I'd be exhausted in no time...kudos to you for pushing through 3 miles with all that added baggage!

Welcome to the new recruits!! I'm so glad this platoon keeps growing in size!

Rainbow Susan - keep enjoying that vacation! But I hope you're still melting that BUTTER. NO vacation from butter melting!

I snapped this photo on my lunch walk today. GEESE have finally returned! They're one of the sure signs of spring and I was so happy to see these 4 pairs looking for prime nesting spots (which we have plenty of). I hope some of them stick around and nest here so I can keep watching them through the spring.

DH and I just finished almost an hour of Just Dance on the Wii. Such a fun way to move and burn! But now I'll have THIS in my head for the rest of the night....

Linalin . . . all are welcome here as long as you're willing to put out. SARGE LIKES THOSE WHO PUT OUT . . . (Oh yes I am sooooooooooooo funny in my own head) SARGE is gonna want a pledge of how many pounds you plan to lose . . . so think hard 'cause SARGE WILL HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE . . .

Jojotheyoyo . . . well SARGE says I'm the crunch queen . . . (yea right, NOT) what I do is 4 kinds of crunches,
1. regular crunches - lie on back, knees bent, hands behind ears and crunch as many times as you can
2. reverse crunches - lie on back, arms by your side, knees in air at 90 degrees and you lift your butt-er up as your knees move toward your head (swinging legs is not allowed, thats cheating), (I think these are the hardest)
3. & 4. side (oblique) crunches - lie on back, knees bent, put ankle of left leg on the knee of the other leg (kind of like crossing your legs while lying down), hands behind ears, crunch & twist so the right elbow goes toward your left knee . . . (OK does that even make any sense?????), then switch legs and do the other side

I do them EVERYDAY, EVERYDAY, EVERYDAY . . . if you start with 5 that's fine, but do 5 of each kind, then after a few days or a week add a couple more, then a couple more and before you know it you will be able to do 100of each kind . . . I roll over on my belly and stretch between the different kinds of crunches . . .

Cheshire: Oh I've been singin' the TIGGER song . . . ME LOVES TIGGER's . . .

SARGE: DON'T EVEN THINK THAT A FEW LITTLE IS GONNA STOP THIS BUTT-ERY GOO FROM DRIPPIN' ALL OVER YOU THIS WEEK . . . . LOLOLOLOL

PS. JOJO STARTED in CRUNCH TRAINING . . . sir

OMG, You girls all rock, i thought you might razz me over him.

JayTee : No way could these old bones get away with 3 long walks, it was all i could do to get 2 (around 18Km, add work in and thats a pretty good day) , but i did it. ( Yes i'm sore, been pushing myself pretty hard lately, i can tell my body is inflamed a bit, my joints anyway.)
Don't blame me for losing to Montreal, they are my (Torontos) mortal enemies as is.

Washed the truck too. Obligatory pic. Notice the almost complete lack of snow. Too bad i can't take the sand bags out of the back though, afraid i might have another blow out,

Peanutt : I love Boney M , Rivers of babylon, Ma baker, Rasputin... Oh ya !

BTW, i noticed some geese in town the other day too.

Linalin : Very nice to meet you.

MadamButterfly: I never would have thought of putting all those weights in a backpack like that, lol. Nice idea!

peanutt: Beautiful photo!

I only slept about 3 hours last night and had a super crummy day at work today, and I rushed home at 9:30 tonight to change and make it to the gym before it closed. I was tired and in a terrible mood, and going to the gym was the last thing I wanted to do, but I am SO glad I went. I don't think about work when I'm there, I don't think about school when I'm there, everything just fades into the background and I focus only on what I'm doing at that very moment. It is such an awesome mental break, and I don't know why I so often forget that. I came home from the gym smiling and feeling 100% better than when I left - which my husband was very relieved by, lol. So: I got my strength training in today, and food is on plan so far. I need to figure out what I'm having for dinner, but I have lots of good options in the house.

Hope everyone had a great and energetic day!

Edit: It certainly seems like you did, Resolute! I have no idea how you found the time today to do as much as you did!

I try to not stop at all during the day, might not be able to start up again otherwise , but i did only have to work around 6 hours, it kind of sucks come payday, but whatever, might as well enjoy it for what it is.

I hear you on the feeling better after resting your mind and working your body, lots of days it's a real effort to get out there but i almost always feel 100 % better when finished.

Have some decent grub and get a good night sleep. Getting ready to pack it in myself.

I need to try that not stopping thing. It's crummy working fewer hours when you wish it were different, but thats a lot of motivation to have used the extra time so productively! I'm always impressed.

I managed to get whole grains, protein, veggies and dairy into my 375 cal dinner, and it was delicious. Bedtime soon. Sleep well!

DREAMER, that's very frightening! I'm glad you got home safely. Sleep well too.

Morning Platoon. (Nice Sarge, wanting to blow the bungle first eh? Is this a challenge to wake up earlier? LOL)
This will be quick, I'm a little behind and nee to make lunch.
I still have some lingering effects from my cold, so I don't know about exercise today. I'll see how I fare after work.

Make it a good one!

On beating Cheshire to the first post...

Dreamer -- Police escort= A shooting = On Sunday our neighbors were burglarized and I always worry about campus shootings so now I'm really edgy. Stay safe on your runs...vary your course!

Chickadee--WTG on getting your workout in even tho it was a crummy day! Was there a little devil Sarge screaming inside your head, threatening you if you didn't workout. If not, just wait...

Reso--Ok, I won't hold you blame for Hawks... You DO put in a good day, I give you that. You average something like 10 miles a day, right? That's dedication!

MadamB-- Yes, goo shields have been activated (SO funny in our own heads) and I'm feeling just a bit of the in me as we end that BL Challenge. My husband says my tombstone will be engraved, "She left no shot unfired!" hehehehe

Bounce to it platoon! Like MadamB said, Sarge loves those "who put out!"

LOL Morning ladies, just heading out the door to start a new day, i really need to work on getting more sleep, not going to go quite as hard as yesterday today, body needs to recoup from being abused as of late me thinks.

Have a good one, steer clear of raving lunatics on shooting sprees.

Stay safe.

MAN you guys are early risers! That's awesome!

We just got back from a half hour run with my little dog. He packed on a few ounces over the winter and needs to get back in running shape for the summer, so it's up at 5 to take him out now. The upside is that it totally exhausts him so he can sleep away the day while we're at work.

Reso - I washed my car yesterday too. It was bad. Took so many passes to get all the grime off. Doesn't it feel good to have a shiny clean car? Well, at least until you drive anywhere again.

Chickadee - WTG on getting to the gym when you thought you didn't feel like it. That is exactly when you need to be there the most. Don't let anything stop you!

Dreamer - how scary! Stay safe and I hope today is significantly less exciting!

Have a great day, platoon! Melt that butter!
