Pvt VickieLou reporting in for weight GAIN AGAIN for another week! I gained 1.4 LBS. My Goal for next weigh in will be 2 LBS. I will be out of town for the weekend so that won't be good. I'm almost over my cold and last night I was throwing up. Plus, it hasn't been a good week food wise. I did meet with my trainer 2x and did weights on my own 1x this week. So at least I got that in. CW: 223.6 GW: 221.6 by 4/11. I won't be able to weigh in until Monday morning for this next week challenge. Will let you know if I reach it before Saturday.

You guys! I RAN. I just finished my first day of C25k and I've never really run before - I didn't think I could do it, but I did! It was difficult, but not so difficult I couldn't do it. And, because I kept avoiding going all morning, by the time I started, temps were already in the mid 80's. Talk about melting BUTT-er!

Two questions for those seasoned runners here - how to avoid side cramps? It was bad about 15 minutes in, but I kept going and they did subside only to come back about 10 minutes later. How can I avoid them?

Secondly, my fingers are pretty swollen. I wore my wedding set while I ran, and the set is usually pretty loose and because they fit tighter now, I can see and feel that my fingers are swollen. Is this normal? Will it stop after running more?

The good news is - I RAN!

PRIVATE POKEY RAN!!!!!! OMG!!!!

You go girl! Side cramps mean you probably went out to hard right off the bat. It doesn't matter how fast you go! Fingers swollen is absolutely normal! That will continue no matter how much weight you lose. Your fingers will return to normal in about half hour to hour...no worries!

YOU ARE A RUNNER!

Viki im sorry it happens, I thought I was going to have a gain to I weighed on sat and had only lost .2 then on sunday WHOOSH I was down two. Try weighing tomorrow, I normally only weigh once a week but normally on sats I can't wait so I weigh then of course I weigh on sunday

Pokey WTG!!!! THATS GREAT! as for the side pains...make sure you stretch befoe running MUY IMPORTANTE and dont hit it so hard at first .I stil cant run a 5k straight or run for a half an hr straight but, I can run every other block pain free. I do feel it in my legs but its not pain its a heaviness of my muscles that tells me ive been working them. The swelling will og away in bout a half hr like sarge said...its the water retention from working the muscles
