Well another weekend has just flown past me...I'm headed to a gym this afternoon. I made a deal with my exercise buddy that I'd go to the gym with her this weekend if she would workout with me next weekend...we'll see how it goes.
I'm down 4 lbs this week! Although I was hoping for a miracle 5, I will most definitely take 4 pounds gone!

Wow, congrats, guys! No gains. Even if you lost one pound or none, it's better than a gain!
I was able to avoid sabotaging myself around all the snacks today (probably because watching the Bears game, which we lost, caused me too much anxiety for me to pig out!). I did have all junk food, but I haven't gone over my calorie allowance (1400 cals), although I think I'll only be able to have a bowl of Cheerios for dinner tonight, lol.
Northern - Buffalo chicken - really simple - cook a chicken breast (i season with only salt and pepper) Cut into strips or cubes, and toss in buffalo sauce (I use Nance's - I used to make my own, but the recipe calls for LOTs of butter, so I get a low-fat sauce now) and place over salad greens and tomatoes. You can then use bleu cheese dressing, but i just add two tablespoons of fresh, crumbled bleu right over it. And enjoy!!
My son didn't even miss the chips - I went out to get my daughter ready for bed, and the bowl of cauliflower, broccoli and carrots (he hates those them most) were ALL gone, along with my homemade hummus! So it was a success!
dcapulet, Thanks for that! I'm trying to cook more things on my own and have been looking for healthy, yet tasty dishes and snacks that make me feel like I'm eating something naughty. This sounds so delicious; can't wait to try it out!
I'm glad to see your son took well to the veggies for snacks. That hummus must have been amazing! I find that I can eat certain veggies like celery and carrots, which I hate as well, if it has an amazing dip to go with it.
I'd like to join too! I'm re-re-restarting.
My monthly goal is to lose #6.8 a month. This will put me at my goal weight in time for my sister's wedding Next Feb/March (they haven't picked a date yet).
I started the new year off at #231.4. I'd LOVE to be in Onederland by Memorial day, and to stay on target for my ultimate goal - my goal for this challenge is: #197.4
I weigh in on Tuesdays, so I'll put last week's weight and update tomorrow.
1/18 - #226
We are on our way to Memorial Day, summer, shorts, tank tops and yes BIKINIS!!!
dcap - that chicken sounds SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo good . . . I'm off this this weekend and just may have to try it, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmmmm, GOOD!!
Northern Belle - yes chicago lost, I was really surprised because I felt like Green Bay really tried to give it away a few times . . . yup I'm in Wisconsin, not that I'm a big football fan, but I was working and there were lots of people watching the game . . . people here are VERY excited . . .
OK, QUESTION: Hummus . . . I think I've had it before, but not sure . . . Do you all buy it prepared or make your own??? AND if you make your own; How do you make it???

I would like to join also, I just booked my Memorial Weekend vacation in Miami Beach and I hope to reach my goal or be very close to my goal by the time I leave!!
Madam, yeah, I'm not much of a football fan either, really. I only watch the Bears. While people are very excited for the Packers in Wisconsin, many Chicagoans are hoping for a Steelers win and there is even more animosity towards the Packers here, if that's even possible, lol. I thought we could pull it out towards the end and at least tie the game, but it just wasn't meant to be. So close, but it was just too little, too late.
I can't help much with the hummus question, as I've never made it before. I know that it involves mashed chickpeas and some seasonings. I'm sure dcapulet would be willing to help you out there!
Diamond - Nice to see more people joining the challenge! I'd love to see myself in some cute Spring and Summer clothes, too. It's my biggest motivator right now!

I'd also like in on this challenge.
I think 22lbs would work for me - that is 1-2 /wk which is achievable. I need a specific target, both date wise and weight wise. This puts me at a healthy BMI and a good portion of the way toward my goal. This also gives me a long term goal (Memorial Day) and weekly goal deadlines to hit the 2 lb marks. By Mem. Day it will be great to be fit, toned, and shorts-ready. I will be deep into mountain biking by then so that will help with the weight loss by then, too.
I think I'll keep the Sunday weigh ins, because I will be weighing on the gym scales from now on out, and this gives me incentive to get to the gym on Sundays!
