Default My first 5K
Sorry I've been out of touch. I've been vacationing and out of state playing with my grandbaby! I ran my first 5K race this weekend, coming in with a 47:41. That's a new speed record for me, and all the more exciting as it was running through dirt and stone desert paths -- and with my ds coaching me as he pushed the grandbaby in her stroller, LOL ! Even at that, we weren't the last in. (We exceeded my goal of finishing before the staff gave up and left, LOL.)

I won't make it all the way either. November went great, but hey, at least we kept ourselves from ballooning in Dec. I know that, for myself, that alone is a big victory. We have pushed forward and we are still on the path. Pat yourselves on the back for every good decision you've made and for all the progress you've acheived. We are so ahead of where we were last year. Good job, people.
