Default 1 Book per Pound CHALLENGE!

I wish I could take credit for this idea, but it's not mine at all. I noticed two other people on 3FC doing this very same thing, and I thought it to be a very brilliant idea, and a great way to make the time go by.

The idea is simple: You read a book for every pound you're looking to lose. So if you're trying to lose 10lbs, you'd have to read 10 books. It sounds like oodles of fun, and I want to give it a shot. Anyone can jump in and keep their own tallies if they want!

Starting weight: 147lbs
Goal weight: 99lbs

GREEN means book was completed!
BLUE means in process of being read!

This sounds like a fun challenge but a book per pound may be too much for me with my schedule right now. However I will give it a whirl since I am backed up on my reading. If you don't mind I will do a book every 3 lbs.

I will try to start this week. I am only going to list one book and then pick as I go. I have started the first book twice and never finished. I don't like taking the book anywhere as I would hate for it to get beat up. I bought it from the Jane Austen House museum in England two years ago. I will just start where I left off as I remember what happened last having read the first part twice.

-3 lbs (161): Northanger Abbey - Jane Austen
-6 lbs (158):
-9 lbs (155):
-12 lbs (152):
-15 lbs (149):

Never posted in this forum before...but--fun! I love reading but I haven't done much this summer since my kids are out of school. I have a few I need to finish right now so I hope it's okay to start with those.

167--The Purity Myth (currently reading)
166--Fast Food Nation (on my nightstand)
165--The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner (on my nightstand, and don't judge me)
164--Eat, Pray, Love (on my nightstand)
163--The Sacredness of Questioning Everything (on my wish list)
162--
161--
160--
159--
158--
157--
156--
155--
154--
153--

**I am really having a hard time reading right now with kids being home from school. We go year round here, though, so August 2nd I should be able to catch up!
