girls!

Glad to see everyone here and posting!

Latest news: I finally got food stamps! So I actually have food in my house! For the first time in months, I have things that match, ex. milk and cereal, pb and jelly and bread, veggies and meat....you get the picture.

I am also thisclose to getting a job! I got up at the a$$crack of dawn this morning, took three buses, went through the whole process: application, testing, interview (IN UNCOMFORTABLE HEELS!!!), got to the final stages: job offer and paperwork, and realized that I didn't have my SS card! SOOOO, I have to get up again today and make the journey...again. They assured me that I won't have to do all that again though.

I also have to go up to the school this week to turn in my financial aid forms. If I can get some, I can start school in March!

Good morning team! I hope everyone got a good nights sleep!

Princess ~ congrats on the scale going your way!

JasonsLea~ glad you got proper food in the house. Yeah on the job! Fingers all crossed for you!

Peggy sorry to hear tea got spilled on your keyboard. Thats no fun! I did that all by myself recently. Thankfully I tipped it over right away and it dried ok. I'd have no clue how to fix it!

Slendren~ great job!

Mothermavis~ hope you had fun Turbo jammin!

Gee you know how in the beginning I asked Peggy if I could skip weighing as my plan has you wait 8 weeks~ then I decided to weigh anyways to better participate in the group?! Anyways.... I felt like my PJ bottoms were slipping quite a bit. I weighed in ( I won't count any Weigh in until Sun though) and indeed the scale was down. Shocking and delightful!

Have a great day everyone! I've got to go to the garage this morning. Grrrr it takes forever!

Another great day so far! When to workout this morning, it really does make me more awake for the rest of the day. Tonight we are having tortilla soup and I can't wait to get home...so yummy!

Hi everyone! Well, normally I do calorie counting but I'm going on Atkins induction for awhile because I "over-carbed" during the holidays. Yesterday was my first day, and I lost 2 lbs overnight, yippee!

Today, I went to a new gym where I participated in an exercise class for the "over-55" set, it was actually pretty strenuous, not too wussy. Anyway, after the session, the trainer told me she couldn't believe I fit into the "over 55" category (I am 59). She told me I looked 45 years old tops! That made me feel good as it was totally unsolicited.

That is great news! I am proud of you for jumping on the wagon again. You have inspired me to give running/jogging a try again. I ran for 16 minutes on my Wii. this time last year I tried the running challenge. My knees hurt, this time Im of with it. Dont want to take on too much to fast.

NSV!!!!! my Wii says my BMI is down to 26.9. WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO. its moving down. it also said ive lost over a pound.
