Well so far my chance of being 203 by Christmas are going down. I had a huge gain and I'm not even sure why. I had one bad meal this week and that's all. The only other thing I can think is since I have been sick I can't drink as much water as it causes more pain when I do. Oh well still a few weeks to go.

I'm in! My Christmas goal is 247, and I am at 263.6 starting point...well, I weigh in tomorrow so that will be lower hopefully!

Big- you could just be retaining water, especially if the off plan meal was high in sodium. Keep to your plan and it will come right back off! It takes 3500 excess calories to gain a pound, so multiply that by how many you gained and you'll find it highly unlikely you gained that much in such a short period of time.

I am soooo in!! I weighed in a 146 today, and my goal is to be 10 pounds lighter at Christmas -- 136.

This year, my family is planning a Christmas dinner with no sugar, chocolate, etc. I think this is a great idea, and we all made promises to ourselves NOT to buy each other assorted chocolates, chocolate reindeer, or other sweet treats to put under the tree. This resolution came about because on all the past Christmases, my family would cook up such an elaborate dinner (complete with cookies, and other such munchies) that we were all stuffed and sluggish by the time it was over. Then, somebody suggested that, hey, let's just eat less! lol

And by the way, we're doing the same thing for Thanksgiving. At first, not having a food loaded with sugar seemed like blasphemy. After all, food is a way to celebrate, and bland, non-fatty, lower-calorie food choices just go against everything my family's done for years! But what a joy it was when I realized that cutting back on sugar/fast food "improves" your senses of smell and taste, and you enjoy your meals that much more. Plus, now I am on the lookout for other sources of enjoyment, like hanging out with friends or doing well on the exam. I'm slowly realizing that my world does not in fact have to revolve around food.

This Christmas, I'm buying my mom something nice for the $20 that I save on the chocolate.

HUGS TO ALL. WE CAN DO IT!!

Yeah!! 2 more for the challange great goals too.

Purplefirefly - thanks I did weigh in on Mon morning so I could post on biggest loser blue and I was back down. Imagin if we could all lose 6lbs overnight. That would be awesome. So I am only up .8 for the week, so I'll take it.

The Wildcat - sugar free Christmas - WTG that's great that everyone is on board with that it makes things so much easier. I am going to bake cookies this year as I have taken 3 cake decorating classes and want to practice, but all the cookies are going to my work or to my moms work. None in the house is a very good way to have it.

Not much else new just have to get ready to go to work, have a great day.

Can I join you? I just got back from a week vacation where all I did was lay on the beach and drink calorie full cocktails ALL DAY. And eat. A lot. I want to look cute and wear something slinky for New Year's Eve! Right now I am at 167. I want to be at 160 for Christmas!

Do you guys want to check in once a week?

Hi to everyone and welcome to the newcomers. Sorry I haven't been on here since last week. Well I finally had a little loss which puts me right back to where I started. So it is really time to get my butt back in gear and start losing that 10lbs I was hoping to do (no) I will do by Christmas.

We have 5 weeks to make our goals and I know that we can all do it.

skinnychicagogirl - we haven't really set up a set check in but if everyone thinks it is a good idea we could post our weights on Mon of everyweek so we can track our progress together.

I'll start:

I will put all my weigh ins on this same post by just editing it so I don't have to search for my last weight from the week before.

11/23~213.2
11/30~211.8 (-1.4)
12/07~209.6 (-2.2)
12/14~208.4 (-1.2)
12/21~207.4 (-1.0)

Just for fun/accountability:
12/28~208.6 (+1.2)
01/04~
