William: (to God) And if we can do that – if I can do that – let a little perfection into the imperfect, let that little bit of mess not destroy the beauty of my life, then I finally have what may be the closest thing to perfect I'll ever really know. The Cleaner

Could have done better yesterday, sigh. Could have done waaaaaay better.

Thursday's Goals
Cardio 1st thing in morning ... check

Eat 5 mini-meals ... well, I ate five meals but they weren't as mini as they should have been and I over-ate on calories.

Two big downfalls. I had a frozen dinner from a healthy meal service I had gotten a while back which usually run about 300-400 calories. When I went to put this one in my calorie software, it was almost 700! I looked at this meal -- a tiny porkchop smaller than the proverbial 'deck of cards', an egg, and some green beans. No fancy sauce, it wasn't even that tasty. And 700 calories! Next, it was Cuban pork day at the grocery store deli and I bought a small container of it. I ate it in about a millisecond and then discovered it was huge in calories. I prepare pork on my own that is low in calories, so I'm not quite sure why these were so high, maybe the cut of the meat or something.

The thing is, I should never have bought that Cuban pork to begin with. I already knew the frozen dinner I ate was too high. And I also knew I would eat the Cuban pork right away because it was prepared food and because I like it. So, I was not being mindful. That is the kind of thing that takes me off my road and into the bushes.

So between these two, I'd eaten everything I should had eaten in the entire day. I made up for it a little bit by just having sliced tomatoes at night with a little cottage cheese but jeez those calories added up.

Water exercise ... forgot I had a meeting at the same time, so no

And ... a non-health related goal (except maybe mental health!): Spend time on the darn paperwork! ... spent a little time, not near enough. I am having real trouble getting myself to do this paperwork! Any helpful hints?

Today's goals
Cardio
Stay under calories
5 mini-meals
Get the d amn paperwork done!

SkinnyJeans - very true. I did the same thing when I restarted. I just couldn't master the things I thought I should. Baby steps right?

CJZee - no clue on the paperwork, you mean like misc stuff around the house or work related? If it household stuff I have 3 piles to sort into - deal with/pay now, file & trash. I start at one end of the counter/space and sort my way to the other end. Then trash gets dealt with first to get it OUT, then I file to get rid of and pay/deal with & file that stuff last.

My goal for today & the weekend is to work on my exercise hours as seen in my ticker & to paint my bedroom.

I was amazed when I first started counting, things i thought weren't that bad had TONS of calories! I'm glad you are aware now and realize when you need to cut it back and make up for some of the excess...you will be successful that way even with days that go a bit higher than planned.

Get the d amn paperwork done! ... hmmmm, today for sure! Liz, thanks for the 3-piles-on-the-counter tip!

Ok, where is everybody???? I'm the only chickie who posted yesterday! I'm lonely.

Yesterday's goals
Cardio at gym ... check!

Stay under calories ... went over a little bit

5 mini-meals ... check! I think one problem with the calories is that I'm eating so frequently and I'm used to eating bigger meals so I go over a little on calories at each mini-meal. Had a great loss this week, though ... 3 pounds! That is amazing for me so either the mini-meals are working or my bod wants more food.

At least start the darn paperwork! ... check! More today!

Goals for today:
5 mini-meals
Stay under calorie goal
Paperwork ... at least 3 hours

My Goal for Suday:
Get dressed: completed (yes this is a real goal this weekend for me. Sat didn't go as well but I at least took a shower so Sat wasn't a total loss)
Turn off the TV when I'm not interested in what is on:Well...most of the time. I did get some things done that I wanted to so not too bad.
Calories within range:Calories were within range on a high day. Plus I increased exercise

I didn't get my bedroom painted but I did send 3 bags of toys from the playroom to Goodwill!

And I did get in a couple of hours of workouts... need to go update my ticker now.

Today's goal is to eat on plan. I forgot to bring a lunch.

I had a dream last night in which I was dressed up and looking in a full-length mirror and I was slim! The cool thing was the dream had nothing to do with weight loss, but with me checking out the outfit I was wearing, so I guess it felt normal to be slim. It was so wonderful!
I have been trying to communicate to my unconscious mind that I am getting slim, and maybe it's working!

Goals for yesterday
Cardio at gym ... check!
5 mini-meals ... check!
Stay under calorie goal ... check! (did well on the eating today)
Water exercise class ... check!
Paperwork ... at least 3 hours ... 2.5 hours, not bad. A very good overall day for me, yay!

Goals for today (Tues)__________
Weight lifting at gym with trainer ... check!
5 mini-meals ... check!
Stay under calorie goal ... check!
Water exercise class ... check!
Paperwork ... at least 3 hours ... nope! What can I say but tomorrow is another day.
read my list of positive goals at least 2x ... check!
