Default April Exercise Challenge

Welcome all who would like to focus on some exercise goals for the month of April. There is a corresponding April Weight Loss Challenge where you can post weight loss goals. Here you post your exercise goals for example how many minutes or miles you would like to accomplish each week or how many workout sessions you'd like to do. Ladies, we are all on different paths....there is no right or wrong! It may be a goal of doing 10 minutes a day or an hour, it doesn't matter! What matters is that we set a goal and stick to it!
Best of luck to all!

Hi again awwwwwwww, miss you gals already! Hi lewisempire

Okay, so here goes! My goal for this month is to continue with my exercises, to continue with my consistency and striving for a minimum of 5hrs. per week (you better if you quit smoking! lol) . I also plan to add or reinstate my upper body strength training this month (which I will refer to as u.b.s.t). These are my goals! TO continue in the same fashion yet add or reinstate the strength training! Oh, we might be putting up the badmington set soon and that will be great for diversity. I promise to keep it tough and have dh have me runnnnnnnnn for that birdie! lol okay girls, sleep good...

My goals for April:
This is my first month long exercise challenge...but with all my school work I probably need some extra accountability if I'm going to stay on track. So, my goals are:

Clock 50 miles, at least 30 of them running.
Be able to do 20 consecutive push-ups.
5k in 32 minutes or less.

4/1- walked 1 mile. Ran 2.5 miles.
4/2- rest day.
4/3- Push-up challenge, day 1 week 2. Yoga.
4/4-
4/5-
4/6-
4/7-
(total/walk/run:3.5/1/2.5)

Good idea icandoallthings puting in a goal time for your 5K. I should do that. I do sprint triathlons (well, 1 each summer) and only run to train for that, but I thought I should start just doing 5K's alone for good incentive to keep in shape outside the triathlon season.

Hey Ladies, I know I flaked on you in March, and I still have an injured foot BUT was talking to a friend of mine that is a personal trainer and she gave me other ideas besides treadmill like the bike and eliptical that are far less impact on my foot. I can't believe i didnt think of that i was just so focused on not being able to jog or even walk on a treadmill. SO for my April goal...700 Minutes of Cardo. And atleast 13 Strengh/Weight training sessions.

I hope to not let you guys down this time!!

I posted on the weight loss thread, then realized the comment was more exercise related. I'm just so excited, I'm sharing it here too.
I did my monthly measurements (chest, waist, hips, thighs and upper arms) and I lost 6.75 inches in March! All my workout consistancy actually paid off. I am SO, SO excited about that. My goal was to lose 3 inches, so I totally exceeded my expectations last month! I am now including inches as part of my April goals. My new and improved April goals are below.

April Exercise Goals:
1. Exercise 6 days/wk
2. Avg. 45 minutes/exercise day
3. Lose 5 inches
4. Do Cardio 6x/wk and Do Strength 2-3x/wk
5. Start training for 5K run

Okay, that all sounds doable! I am so excited to get ready for Spring/Summer. I will NOT be ashamed to walk around in a swimsuit this summer!
