I'd better get on this! Exercising is one of my least favorite things to do and I don't want to fall off the wagon! My goal is to walk or ride my recumbent stationary bike for 45 minutes each day.

ms perception what's a sprint triathlon?

I've been thinking about trying to do a mini-triathlon of some kind this summer...I'd be okay with the running and the biking, but if I decide to do it, I'll have to get some laps in at the pool.

icandoallthings-hey there! A sprint tri probably equals a mini tri. It's a 1/4 mile swim, 15-20 mile bike, and a 5K/3.1 mile run. Here they are usually referred to as a sprint tri or a "short course" if they are running a longer (1/2 Ironman or something) version at the same time. I've done a couple and LOVE them. I'm not great in the water either, cake batter, but you learn to do it well enough after awhile. Anyway, enough about me...

Look at all you ladies on here! So good to see everyone is getting fit for life! Yay! Hope everyone feels decent and knows that we're just here to encourage each other. Speaking of...Congrats cake batter on talking yourself into the gym today. There's a victory right there! Have a good one ladies, I'm off to relax.

Hi all! I hope everyone is keeping up with the exercise they want to do! Sooner or later, I'm going to have to add some strength-training, but I'm not mentally prepared for it yet. I keep telling myself, even if I do some "girl" push-ups, I'll be creating resistance to strengthen muscles by having to lift my own weight, but...I'm just not ready to add strength-training to my April goals list...at least not yet! All in good time. Meanwhile, I'm proud of myself for what I am accomplishing!

April 1--Bike--Check! April 2--Bike--Check!

That's right, Jacqui! Rome wasn't built in a day. You do things at the right pace for you and you'll do wonderfully. You are already POP this month which is awesome!

My Minutes:
4/1: 68 min (WAH 5 miles), 32 Wii Aerobics
4/2: 38 min (WAH 3 miles w/stretchies)

So far, so good!

M_Perception, thanks!

I don't know what got into me today, but not only did I ride 60min instead of 45min on my exercise bike, but I also decided to walk to Walmart to buy some resistance bands. That's 4 miles round trip! Now if I can just psych myself up to use the resistance bands, lol! Soon, maybe soon!

April 1--Biked! April 2--Biked! Walked!

Yay! April is here! (almost)
I am making my goal 62 miles in April! Let's get Rolling!!!
4/1- 3miles walking
4/2- 1 mile (15 minutes on nordic track) + long bad day at work!
4/3-
4/5-
4/6-
4/7-
4/8-
week 1 total miles-

I was too tired after a long bad day at work, and I have a sinus headache. I am planning to go geocaching this weekend, that should get some miles in, and my mood lifted!! All in all, I am still on track for my monthly mileage, so it should all work out! Right?

Yay Jacqui D! You rocked it today, keep up the good work!!! I was thinking about upping my strength training too. It is not my favorite thing, that is for sure.

Ms Perception, your month looks like it is starting out really well. Great job!

Fullsteamahead- Just wanted to say a quick hello. I hope you had a great day!

talk with you all later.....keep up the good work, I'll catch up tomorrow!
